Football.Fun introduces its FDF Pack Sale, offering users the chance to purchase Player Packs with fractionalized football players as on-chain assets. Learn about the phases, pricing, and more.
Football.Fun, a sports prediction platform built on Base, has officially launched its FDF Pack Sale. This initiative allows eligible users to purchase randomized Player Packs that will soon be tradable as fractionalized on-chain assets. The sale is designed to reward early users based on their reputation and activity on the platform during its beta period.
The FDF Pack Sale marks the first opportunity for users to acquire and hold football players in the Pro version of the platform. Each pack contains four players, and each pack is valued at 2000 shares, or 500 shares per player. These shares form the foundation of Football.Fun’s in-game economy, which combines player trading, squad building, and tournament participation in a web3-based ecosystem.
Football.Fun Launches FDF Pack Sale
Football.Fun is a web3 fantasy sports football platform that allows users to build squads using tradable digital assets representing real-world football players. The platform currently supports clubs from the top five European leagues and enables users to compete in weekly tournaments for in-game rewards.
Access to the platform's beta version requires an invite code, which existing users can earn by completing in-app objectives. New users can sign up using an email address, crypto wallet, or a social login option. Once registered, users can choose between the Free-to-Play mode or the Pro (Crypto) mode. Free users start with 1000 Gold, while Pro users must purchase Gold using USDC.

Football.Fun’s gameplay is centered around earning Tournament Points and Skill Points through squad performance and activity. These points enable users to open packs and promote players, adding a layer of strategy to squad management. Tournaments occur weekly, and the rewards distributed depend on the overall trading volume on the platform.
Following a recent $2 million fundraising round, Football.Fun continues to build out its web3 fantasy football experience. The FDF Pack Sale represents a significant milestone in that development, offering early users a chance to participate in the platform’s evolving digital football ecosystem.

The sale is divided into two phases. The first phase began on August 5 at 5 PM UTC and will run for 46 hours. Participation in this phase is limited to users with established account reputations and past beta activity on the platform. The price for each Player Pack is set at $20 USDC, with purchase allocations ranging from a minimum of $60 to a maximum of $2000 per eligible user.
Phase two of the sale is scheduled to begin on August 8 at 3 PM UTC. It will offer any unsold packs from the first phase and will remain open for 24 hours. Only users who were whitelisted in the first phase will be able to participate in the second. The pricing per pack remains unchanged at $20 USDC.
Following the conclusion of the sale, the contents of the Player Packs are set to be revealed on August 8 at 1 PM UTC. Trading of these player assets is expected to begin shortly after, ahead of the upcoming football season. The first ten players included in the FDF system were revealed on August 5 during a live announcement on X. These players include well-known names such as Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joško Gvardiol, Bruno Fernandes, and Erling Haaland, among others.
Football.Fun Launches FDF Pack Sale
On Football.Fun, Player Shares are at the core of gameplay. Users can buy, sell, and collect shares of football players to build their squads. To open Player Packs, users need to spend Tournament Points, which are earned based on the real-world performance of their selected squads in competitions. Gold, the platform’s in-game currency, can be earned through tournament rewards and is used for buying shares of players or trading on the platform.
Another important resource is Skill Points, which are necessary for promoting players from the development squad to the main squad. Only main squad players are eligible for tournaments and trading. Users must manage these points strategically to improve their squad composition and performance.
Although each pack in this initial sale contains 2000 shares, Football.Fun has stated that future releases will include different types of packs. According to the platform's official documentation, future pack tiers will include Pro Pack, Epic Pack, and Legendary Pack, with varying amounts of shares per player. It has not yet been confirmed which tier is being offered in the current sale. For more information and to check eligibility, users can visit the sale page at founders.football.fun.
