Esports and competitive multiplayer tournaments are still in its infancy in web3 gaming, but Exeedme is taking the right steps towards cultivating a grassroots tournament organizer culture and promote those who want to host competitions. The latest announcement reveals the company’s Tournament Grants initiative.
The main goal of the Tournament Grants according to the team is to ” provide tools to improve the administration and organization of competitions while leveraging the prize pools that they provide to their communities.” Exeedme has already distributed over $150,000 among both Professional and Amateur players through their community tournaments, spread across both web3 and traditional games likeE EV.IO and the shooters web3 gaming genre and Counter Strike: Global Offensive respectively.
To be eligible for the Tournament Grants being offered by Exeedme, you should have prior experience in organizing gaming tournaments. There is preference at the moment towards traditional games, but the team is open to consider tournaments for web3 games as long as the potential number of participants warrant it.
On top of that, the essential tournament information is required. This includes everything from format, dates, and total prize pool to ensuring the competition is properly streamed and provide the Exeedme team with a post-tournament brief.
