Whether you’re looking for one of this year’s biggest blockbusters or hoping to grab an overlooked indie title, there’s a lot to check out. The sale runs for two weeks, and there are Epic Rewards bonuses in the mix too.
The sale kicks off on July 17 at 11 AM ET and runs through July 31 at 11 AM ET. If you’re in the UK or Europe, that’s 4 PM BST or 5 PM CEST. Everything is available through the Epic Games Store, so it’s just a matter of logging in and seeing what’s on offer.

There’s a good mix of new releases, franchise favorites and creative one-offs in this year’s sale.
One of the headliners is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which lets players take control of both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The game expands on the open-world action of the first one, giving each character unique powers and letting you switch between them as you explore New York and face off against classic villains.

Another standout is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, a dark fantasy RPG that mixes turn-based strategy and real-time combat. The game leans into a stylized Belle Époque art direction and tells a story that’s a little different from your usual RPG setup.
Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced is back too, with upgraded visuals, faster load times and better performance on modern Windows PCs. The core game hasn’t changed, but the technical improvements make it easier than ever to jump into Los Santos and cause some chaos.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers a different kind of open-world experience, this time set in Japan’s Sengoku period. You play as two characters - Naoe, a shinobi, and Yasuke, a samurai - each with their own playstyle. Like other recent entries, it leans heavily into exploration, stealth and historical storytelling.
Then there’s Blades of Fire, an action-adventure that focuses heavily on weapon crafting. You play as Aran de Lira, forging custom swords and blades that shape your combat options throughout the game. It’s a more hands-on approach to the usual hack-and-slash formula, and it works well.
EA SPORTS FC 25 is also included in the sale, with a full roster of teams and leagues, multiple modes like Ultimate Team and Career, and the ability to manage your club across seasons. Whether you’re into single matches or full management sims, it has plenty of depth.

Some of the most interesting games in the sale aren’t the biggest ones.
Timberborn is a city builder with a twist - it’s run by beavers. It’s a surprisingly deep game where you manage resources, build infrastructure and try to survive changing weather and drought cycles.
If you’re into science or just want to mess around with gravity, Universe Sandbox is a space simulator that lets you create, destroy and experiment with planets, stars and galaxies. You can run realistic simulations or just see what happens when two suns collide.
The Axis Unseen is a first-person stealth game that mixes in heavy metal music and mythological creatures. You track, hunt and fight monsters using elemental arrows, all while sneaking through dense forests and eerie landscapes. It’s a niche pick, but one that stands out.
On top of the discounts, Epic is offering increased Epic Rewards during the sale. From now through August 31, you’ll get 20% back on eligible purchases made using Epic’s payment system. That includes full games, in-game content and subscriptions.
Rewards are now delivered instantly for things like virtual currency and membership services, so there’s no waiting around. And if you regularly play games like Fortnite, Rocket League or Fall Guys, you’ll now get 20% back permanently on those purchases too, as long as you use Epic’s system. Terms and conditions apply, but the rewards system is pretty straightforward. Spend money, get some of it back, and use that for your next purchase.
Epic Rewards
If you’ve been waiting for a good excuse to pick up a few recent games or stock up on smaller titles, the Epic Games Store Summer Sale 2025 is a solid opportunity. The discounts are wide-ranging, the featured games are some of the best of the year, and the added bonus of Epic Rewards makes it easier to justify a few extra purchases.
Just make sure to grab what you want before July 31. Once the sale ends, prices go back to normal, and the boosted rewards wrap up soon after. Here is a list of all the games mentioned:
