The medieval MMORPG Domi Online launched its Public Playtest on December 14, running through December 21 at 6 PM GMT. This event invites players to explore the full game world and compete for a $10,000 prize pool, which includes rewards across multiple leaderboards, a $BEAM token airdrop, and a bug bounty program. Originally planned for November, the playtest was delayed to refine gameplay and introduce a fair prize distribution system.
The current playtest marks the first time players can access the entire world of Domi Online. Unlike the 24-hour stress test in September, which limited exploration to a small section of the mainland, this version offers access to locations such as the Vyorkur Mountains, Saint’s Rest, Leviathan’s Reach, and Stannfyr Capital. The expanded map provides a more comprehensive view of the game’s environments and world-building.
Participants have a full week to explore and interact with the game’s systems. Developers have also introduced several updates based on player feedback from the September stress test. These include improved network stability, visual enhancements, and adjustments to gameplay mechanics. Players have unrestricted access to all levels, skills, and professions during the playtest, allowing them to experience the full scope of the game’s features without level caps or limitations.
Domi Online Public Playtest Offers $10k in Rewards
This iteration of the game reflects improvements made during the previous test phase. Developers have worked to resolve technical issues, improve server performance, and adjust mechanics to create a more stable and engaging experience. Visual updates further enhance the game world, aiming to provide a more polished and immersive environment for players.
The playtest also introduces competitive elements to engage players further. With a week-long duration, participants can thoroughly explore gameplay features and provide feedback, which will be crucial as the team prepares for the Open Alpha Release.

A central feature of this playtest is the $10,000 prize pool, distributed across multiple categories to reward diverse types of participation. The Combat Leaderboard forms the largest part of the pool, with rewards based on Combat/Player levels. The top 50 players will receive token prizes, with first place earning $1,500, followed by smaller rewards for lower ranks.
Players interested in non-combat roles can compete on Profession Leaderboards. These leaderboards focus on skills like fishing, cooking, blacksmithing, and alchemy. The top three players in each profession will receive prizes, with first place earning $200, second place $150, and third place $100.
Additionally, a $BEAM token airdrop, created through a partnership with Beam, will distribute $1,000 worth of tokens among the top 200 players. To encourage players to report bugs and help refine the game, the developers have allocated $1,500 to a bug bounty program. Unique bug reports that contribute to improving the game will receive a share of this reward.

Although the playtest began on December 14, the prize pool competition was postponed due to performance issues affecting some players. The developers identified login problems and decided to delay the competitive elements until these issues are resolved. A new start date for the prize pool will be announced, and player progress will be reset to ensure fair competition. Despite this adjustment, players can still explore the playtest environment if they can log in successfully.
To participate in the playtest, players need to download the Domi Online launcher from the official website. This launcher is currently the only way to access the early version of the game. The developers have also confirmed plans for a future release on Steam as a free-to-play title, but no timeline for this has been provided.
