2025 is already proving to be a packed year for games, and we’re only halfway through. With current-gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S hitting their stride and Nintendo rolling out its new Switch 2, there’s a lot on the horizon for players across all platforms. From long-awaited sequels and fan-favorite remasters to ambitious new IPs, the rest of the year has something for just about everyone—whether you’re into RPGs, sports sims, strategy games, or indie gems.
To help you keep track of it all, we’ve pulled together every major game release confirmed for the rest of 2025. That includes hard dates and general 2025 windows (which are grouped at the end). We’ll be updating this list as new announcements come in, so be sure to bookmark it if you’re planning your backlog.
Biggest Games Still to Come in 2025
July kicks off with Missile Command Delta on July 8, bringing a new twist to the arcade classic on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC. Just a couple of days later, EA Sports College Football 26 returns after a long hiatus, launching July 10 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
That same week, Patapon 1 + 2 Replay drops on July 11 for PS5, PC, and Switch, alongside Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, the latest remaster collection from the legendary franchise, rolling out across virtually every platform. Edens Zero follows on July 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and the PC-exclusive Medievaly: Battle Simulator lands July 16 for players who enjoy chaotic, physics-driven warfare.
July 17 brings a trio of releases: Donkey Kong Bananza debuts on the Nintendo Switch 2, The Drifter arrives on PC, and The Wandering Village expands to Xbox and Switch. The following day, Shadow Labyrinth drops across all major platforms, while Hell Clock and Monument Valley 3 launch on July 22.
Closing out the month, Killing Floor 3, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV all hit on July 24. No Sleep For Kaname Date, a new entry in the AI: The Somnium Files series, launches on July 25 for Switch, with Relicbound, Grounded 2 Preview, and Tales of the Shire all arriving in the final days of July.
Gradius Origins kicks off the month on August 7, followed by Mafia: The Old Country on August 8, which takes the franchise back to its Prohibition-era roots. Madden NFL 26 returns on August 14 with support for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2.
On August 19, Sword of the Sea—from the developers behind Abzû and The Pathless—lands on PS5 and PC. Just a week later, Gears of War: Reloaded launches August 26, reigniting the iconic series on PS5, Xbox, and PC.
August 27 is packed, with both Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar and Kirby and the Forgotten Land + Star-Crossed World launching on Switch platforms. August 28 is no slouch either, with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Super Robot Wars Y, and The Knightling all landing on that day. The month closes with Lost Soul Aside and Shinobi: Art of Vengeance—two action adventure heavy titles launching August 29.
September is headlined by some heavy hitters. Hell is Us and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Order of Giants DLC both drop on September 4. The next day, Everybody's Golf Hot Shots brings the beloved arcade golf series back to PlayStation, Switch, and Windows PC.
September 12 marks the return of Borderlands 4, while Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor joins the mix a few days later on September 17. JRPG fans will want to keep an eye on September 19, when Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree and Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter both release.
Marathon returns on September 23 with Bungie's fresh take on the classic title. Just two days later, Silent Hill f and Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds both drop, and NBA Bounce follows on September 26. September ends strong with Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles launching September 30.
October opens with Directive 8020, Ghost of Yotei, and Neon Inferno all launching on October 2. The next day, Digimon Story: Time Stranger adds a new chapter to the long-running series.
Mid-month, Pokémon Legends: Z-A drops October 16 for Switch and Switch 2, and Keeper follows on October 17 for Xbox and PC. October 21 is a big day, featuring Escape Simulator 2, Jurassic World Evolution 3, and Ninja Gaiden 4. Classic brawler fans can check out Double Dragon Revive on October 23. Toward the end of the month, The Outer Worlds 2 arrives on October 29, with Arc Raiders closing things out on October 30.
Looking into November, Cairn hits PS5 and PC on November 5. The big strategy title Anno 117: Pax Romana follows on November 13, launching across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. More games are expected to be dated soon for Q4, including major holiday releases and potential mobile, indie, and web3-related launches.
