Lunacians, prepare yourselves for the exciting new update coming to Axie Infinity's Homeland. On June 12th, the long-awaited revamp of the Moonfall mechanic will go live, incorporating player feedback to enhance the overall experience.
In this article, we will cover everything you need to know about how Axie Infinity's Homeland introduces the revamped Moonfall mechanic with quest-based rewards. You will also learn about the new features, prize tiers, and daily quests.
Axie Infinity's New Moonfall Mechanic
Axie Homeland is an idle blockchain game where players use Axies to gather resources, build and upgrade structures that are used to warehouse resources, produce, craft, equip, sell items, and/or send adventurers out on adventures to earn points to compete in various leaderboards.
You will enjoy this game if you enjoy cute graphics, idle clicker games that involve gathering, crafting, sending NPCs on passive adventures, designing and organizing land aesthetics, and competing on a leaderboard. In order to start playing Axie Homeland, you will need to sign up for an account on Sky Mavis and have a Ronin wallet. Players will have to own at least one land parcel which you can buy from the Axie Marketplace.
Axie Infinity Homeland
Homeland is part of the iconic and much loved Axie Infinity IP, developed by Vietnamese studio Sky Mavis and built on the Ronin Network. Known for its in-game economy which uses Ethereum-based cryptocurrencies. Players of Axie Infinity collect and mint NFTs which represent axolotl-inspired digital pets known as Axies.
The centerpiece of the upcoming Moonfall update is a quest-like system that offers daily challenges for players. Each day, players will receive 12 quests per plot they own or manage, with varying levels of difficulty. These quests can be completed to earn Moonfall Tickets, which can then be exchanged for rewards the next day.
Complete daily Moonfall quests → Win Moonfall Tickets → Claim rewards the next day (if selected)
Moonfall Quest Difficulty and Rewards
Some quests will require advanced levels of Atia’s Altar or specific building blueprints, rewarding players for in-game progression. The harder the quest, the greater the chance to earn tickets and win better rewards. Rarer plots also have higher chances of receiving Moonfall tickets, adding another layer of strategy and excitement.
Note: Rarer plots will also have a better chance of receiving Moonfall tickets - the rarer the plot, the greater the rewards.
Here is a detailed breakdown of how plot rarity increases Moonfall ticket chances:
Plot Rarity and Bonus Chance
Each type of ticket enters players into daily prize draws across three tiers:
The Common Prize pool is dynamic, with unclaimed rewards rolling over to the next day, ensuring a continuous opportunity for all players. If there are fewer tickets than prizes in a day, all ticket holders will win, with leftover prizes contributing to the next day's Common prize pool.
Extra Special, Premium and Common Chest Explained
The Common Prize budget is based on unearned rewards from the previous day, capped at 200 AXS per day of accumulation. Any unclaimed/remaining prizes will roll over to the Common prizes the next day. This means that it's possible to have more than 200 Common prizes available on any given day.
Note: If there are fewer tickets than prizes in the pool, all ticket holders will win. Any leftover prizes will roll over to the next day's Common prize pool.
Landowners with multiple plots can enjoy completing quests for each specific plot, earn tickets, and get a higher chance to win daily prizes. There's no daily limit on Moonfall prizes at the account level. Also, when players finish a quest and don't receive a ticket, they will still get gold rewards. The gold amount will vary based on the type of plot the quest is completed on.

In line with the founders' roadmap, the Moonbeam feature will be removed from the game. The resources previously allocated to Moonbeam rewards will now support the enhanced Moonfall system, streamlining the gameplay experience.

The development team at Axie Infinity has worked closely with the community to bring these changes to life. The revamped Moonfall mechanic is a testament to their commitment to player feedback and continuous improvement.
The new Moonfall system is a significant milestone for Axie Infinity's Homeland, promising a more engaging and rewarding experience for all players. As the community continues to grow and evolve, so too will the game, with future updates already in the pipeline. May Atia bless your quests, and may the new Moonfall bring bountiful rewards to all Lunacians!
