In the ever-evolving landscape of blockchain-based gaming, Axie Infinity continues to captivate players and enthusiasts alike with its innovative approach to decentralized play-to-earn ecosystems. The latest milestone in the Axie universe has arrived, heralding a new chapter in the game's history — the launch of Axie Infinity Classic Guilds Leaderboards Season 1 is now live.
This latest development brings a sense of community, camaraderie, and strategic collaboration to the forefront, as players unite within guilds to navigate the virtual realms of Lunacia. In this article we delve into the exciting realm of Axie Infinity Classic Guilds, exploring the potential impact on the gaming experience and the broader implications for the blockchain gaming industry.
During Season 1, Axie Classic Guilds will compete on the Guild Leaderboard by earning Guild Points. Earn Guild Points by winning battles in the Cursed Coliseum, defeating your opponents in the Grand Tournament’s Knockout Round, and placing axies in the Guild Vault. Here’s how your Guild can rack up Guild Points during Season 1:
Place axies in the Guild Vault to earn Guild Points. One unlocked axie in the Guild Vault earns 1 Guild Point per day, up to a maximum of 3 Guild Points per day. Locked axies that are not yet available for support cannot earn Guild Points. Note: Guild Points will freeze at the end of a season and reset once a new season starts.
During Axie Classic Season 1, guilds will compete for a piece of the 10K AXS prize pool. That’s a value of about $90K USD. The reward distribution is as follows:
🥇1st place: 2000 AXS
🥈2nd place: 1350 AXS
🥉3rd place: 800 AXS
🏆 4th place: 600 AXS
🏆 5th place: 500 AXS
🏆 6th - 10th place: 400 AXS
🏆 11th - 15h place: 300 AXS
🏆 16th - 20th place: 250 AXS
These AXS rewards will be split between the guild’s members and its treasury at a 70/30 ratio: 70% to guild members according to the Contribution Points, and 30% to the guild’s treasury managed by the guild’s leader.
Players must have also contributed more than 0.1% of the guild’s total Guild Points to receive a share of the rewards. If not, their portion of the rewards will go to the treasury.
Here’s an example of what that might look like:
Imagine the Kokushibo Guild wins 1st place and receives 2,000 AXS. At the end of the season, 600 AXS will go straight to the Kokushibo Treasury as part of the 30% rule. The guild leader will decide what to do with those rewards.
Next, 1.4K AXS will be split among the guild’s 10 members according to the Contribution Points they earned during the season.
If Player A earned a lot of Contribution Points, they might get 20% of that 1.4K AXS. On the other hand, Player B might only get 5% of that 1.4K AXS because they did not earn many Contribution Points.
The Grand Tournament returns for its 4th iteration with stakes higher than ever. The Axie team has also adjusted the naming of Grand Tournament Phases to better reflect the purpose they serve.
The Knockout Phase of the Grand Tournament will have five rounds where players are divided into different groups with their own leaderboard each time. Players can earn Guild Points for each match win during Knockout Phase.
Top 16 players will participate in the GT Finals on April 7th. More details coming soon.
Guild Wars, and the qualification period for South-East Asian (SEA) guilds, has begun. The top 10 Guilds at the end of Guild Leaderboards S1 will earn Placement Points, which will be required to qualify for Guild Wars SEA. Total Placement Points earned from the first 3 seasons of Guild Leaderboards will determine the qualifying guilds for Guild Wars SEA.
The first LAN Guild War will take place in the Philippines during the offseason of Guild Leaderboard Season 4. A total of 4 Guild Wars will be held leading up to the Axie World Cup where 8 competing teams will face off to determine the grand champion for the Axie Classic Competitive Circuit. Stay tuned for more information
Players can now donate SLP & Gold to their guild members and earn Contribution Points in return. Donations can be made in stacks of either 10 Gold or 10 SLP. Each donation earns the player 10 CP. Each player can only receive up to 150 Gold & 150 SLP as donations. Remember: Contribution Points influence what percentage of your Guild’s total rewards you can earn. More Contribution Points, more rewards.
The team says they are working on shipping more features to Axie Classic Guilds. That means there are a few limitations for now. For example, you cannot delete or change the name of a guild once it has been created. Remembering this is important because each Ronin address can only create one guild. A new Guild Chat feature will soon enable Guild members to communicate with each other while playing Axie Classic. Stay tuned for more details.
Axie Classic is the game that brought millions to the web3 gaming movement. This is the game where legacies were born. The game Lunacians have been playing in droves since its return in November of 2023. Today’s Guild Leaderboard S1 introduces a new dimension to Classic, and the team says they are excited to hear the community feedback throughout and after the season.
Best of luck to each and every guild, and see you in the arena! ⚔️
