Angelic: The Chaos Theatre is noteworthy as a rare NFT game featured on the Steam store, which currently enforces stringent restrictions on NFT gaming. According to the Steam store, The Chaos Theatre serves as a free tactical multiplayer module within the Angelic universe, described as a narrative strategy RPG set in a collaborative sci-fi realm. Players are invited to explore the evolution of humanity through distinct Angelic characters.
For those interested in upcoming titles poised to excel in the turn-based RPG genre with integrated NFT functionality, Angelic represents a promising starting point. However, akin to other Steam multiplayer games incorporating crypto elements, direct access to Angelic's NFT features will not be available through the Steam platform.

Metaverse Game Studios is preparing to launch the Open Alpha of Angelic: The Chaos Theatre on Steam, heralding forthcoming updates and enhanced features for enthusiastic players. This milestone marks the game's inaugural Open Alpha phase, providing a preview of its evolving gameplay experience.
Addressing previous feedback, the developers have focused heavily on game optimization. The upcoming build boasts improvements that promise smoother gameplay across a broader range of hardware configurations. Minimum specifications now include Nvidia GTX 1060 for achieving 30+ FPS at 1080p resolution, with potential FPS gains of up to 250% depending on your setup. Players with Nvidia RTX GPUs can further enhance their experience by enabling DLSS for even higher frame rates.
A major addition to this release is the introduction of PvE game modes, allowing players to engage in single-player or cooperative gameplay against AI opponents. This feature caters to both solo players and groups looking to hone their skills or simply enjoy the game without waiting for matchmaking. While the AI's capabilities will evolve over time with deep learning, initial iterations offer challenging gameplay with unique victory conditions and strategic limitations.
AI Integration and New Game Modes
Angelverse introduces a structured player progression system, where leveling up grants rewards and unlocks new heroes. Starting with three core heroes—Phoenix, Xander, and Seliné—players can unlock additional heroes by collecting "angel shards." This system aims to streamline the initial experience for newcomers while providing long-term goals through hero customization and skill development.
Responding to community feedback, the update includes a comprehensive combat tutorial mode. This sandbox-style tutorial allows players to familiarize themselves with gameplay mechanics and test each hero's abilities, promoting a more engaging and informed start to their Angelic journey.
Unlocking Heroes
In a bid to improve accessibility, Angelic is migrating its account system to a new infrastructure. This transition aims to resolve existing issues and expand accessibility to players in regions like China. New features such as website synchronization will further enhance user experience, ensuring a seamless connection between gameplay and community interaction.
While originally targeting a debut during Steam Next Fest, the team remains committed to delivering a polished experience and may adjust the release timeline accordingly. Players can anticipate the new build becoming available in the coming weeks, with potential opportunities for public participation and tournament events as part of the Open Alpha phase.
As Erkan Bayol, Founder and CEO of Metaverse Game Studios, expresses gratitude for community support, Angelic looks forward to continued player feedback shaping its future developments. Stay tuned for updates as the game progresses towards its full open beta release later this year.
“Your feedback and support have been invaluable in shaping Angelic, and we can’t wait to continue this journey together. Keep an eye out for more updates as we approach the Open Beta. Thank you for being a part of our community. See you in the next update, Angels.”
