Singapore-based Aethir, a pioneer in Decentralized Cloud Infrastructure (DCI), is leveraging decentralization to transform gaming and AI by making them faster and more efficient, all while reducing costs. Back in July of this year, Aethir announced the completion of its Pre-A funding round, bringing the total value raised to over $9 million and the company valuation to $150 million.
The company has now just announced it has successfully launched its testnet on Arbitrum, an Ethereum-based blockchain. This move signifies progress in decentralized cloud infrastructure (DCI), specifically tailored for gaming and artificial intelligence (AI).
Aethir's focus on decentralization aims to provide globally accessible, cost-effective GPU-based computing, addressing the scarcity of graphics processing units (GPUs). By leveraging a decentralized network of infrastructure companies, Aethir aims for efficient computing and a projected 60% cost reduction. The Aethir Atmosphere, the company's flagship product, introduces a GPU-as-a-service ecosystem for infrastructure providers. Concurrently, it establishes a web3 cloud for enterprises, promising secure and efficient interactions with AI and gaming applications globally.

The recently unveiled testnet enhances Aethir's DCI capabilities and facilitates permissionless integration with Aethir's cloud-hosted game portals. Developers are encouraged to explore and innovate within Aethir's Atmosphere, utilizing its GPU-based computing efficiently. Aethir's testnet lays the groundwork for implementing tokenomics, incentivizing companies to contribute to its network and strengthen decentralized infrastructure.
Acknowledging Aethir's commitment to industry evolution, the startup recently entered Nvidia's Inception Program, solidifying its position in the evolving landscape of cloud gaming and AI. The Aethir testnet serves as a practical tool for game developers, streamlining the onboarding of games and the creation of cloud gaming portals. Simultaneously, it provides AI-focused enterprises with scalable localized computing power, enhancing the human-AI interaction layer.
Key features of the testnet include API integration, allowing game developers to upload games seamlessly and establish unique gaming portals. Additionally, a blockchain browser provides developers and GPU resource providers within Aethir's network easy access to on-chain data, fostering transparency and collaboration. Aethir's testnet marks a milestone in decentralized cloud gaming and AI, offering practical solutions for industry players.
