Overview
LOL Land is a casual, browser-based board game built by YGG Play and powered by the Abstract Chain. It features cute and recognizable characters from the Pudgy Penguins universe and focuses on simple dice-rolling gameplay where you move across themed boards to earn points, collectibles, and seasonal rewards. Players can stick to Free Mode for pure fun, or connect a wallet and use character NFTs to unlock additional progression, cosmetics, and reward eligibility.

Gameplay and Features
LOL Land centers around a familiar dice-rolling system, similar to classic board games like Monopoly. On each turn, players roll to move between 2 to 12 tiles across a themed game board. Depending on where they land, players can earn points, in-game rewards, or NFTs, depending on the selected game mode. Rolling past the “LOL” tile resets the board layout with a new set of tiles, adding variety to each round. One of the main ways to win is by landing on the same symbol two or more times in a row, which results in bonus rewards. Before the game begins, players also select a multiplier that can boost the value of their rewards for each roll.

Game Modes
LOL Land has two modes with distinct rules and reward systems:
- Free Mode: No wallet or NFTs needed. You can roll dice, collect points, and play all available boards. However, you won’t be eligible to earn $YGG tokens. Free Mode includes daily rewards and access to a store for additional rolls.
- Premium Mode: Requires a connected crypto wallet and unlocks token rewards. Players can earn and redeem $YGG tokens by accumulating points. Premium rolls can be purchased or earned, and gameplay includes access to NFT-based features and character perks.
Switching between modes is possible, but progress like points and rolls are tracked separately per mode.

NFTs and Blockchain
Character NFTs let you enter Premium play and unlock specific themed boards tied to those characters. Inside Premium, points you earn on the boards can be redeemed for $YGG on Abstract, and your play also ladders Abstract XP on eligible accounts. NFTs are acquired in-game with $YGG and act as your pass to additional boards and reward tracks; they don’t change dice odds, but they do determine which boards you can run and which reward routes you can tap.

Latest Game Updates (2025)
Throughout 2025, LOL Land ran several limited-time seasonal play events through YGG Play. These events offered time-boxed reward tracks where players in Premium Mode could compete for leaderboard positions, cosmetic rewards, and board-specific bonuses. Importantly, token rewards were not active as continuous play-to-earn, but instead appeared in specific event periods to avoid reward flooding and to keep competition meaningful.
The game also improved onboarding through Abstract Chain, making it easier for new players to connect a wallet or start in Free Mode without needing prior web3 experience. NFT characters remained optional and continued to act as access keys for Premium boards and seasonal eligibility
