A comprehensive guide that explains everything you need to know about fishing in Gigaverse.
Fishing has recently been added to Gigaverse, giving players a new in-game activity with its own mechanics and rewards. Fishing is actually pretty simple in Gigaverse, but many players still aren’t sure how to get started or what to do once they’re in a session. This guide explains exactly how fishing works, where to do it, what options you have, and how to increase your chances of getting better fish.
Gigaverse Guide
To begin fishing, head to the southern part of the map and find the Fishing Chest. Click the chest to start your fishing session. Fishing isn’t available anywhere else at the moment, so this location is the only way to access the feature.
Before you start, you’ll need to select a Cast Type. Your cast choice affects the type of fish you can catch and your chances of getting higher rarities.
Gigaverse Guide
Cast Type | Energy Cost | Description |
Small Cast | 12 Energy | Common fish, low risk |
Mid Cast | 16 Energy | Balanced chance for Uncommons and Rares |
Big Cast | 20 Energy | Higher chance for Rare and above |
You only get 10 casts per day, and casts reset at 12AM UTC. If you want to aim for better rarities, Big Casts offer the best chance, but they cost more energy.
Fishing in Gigaverse uses a unique spell-based system instead of the usual fishing rods. Each day, players receive a Daily Spell Deck, which refreshes at 12AM UTC. This deck includes two types of spells: Basic Spells, which are always available, and Daily Spells, which are randomly assigned and expire after one day. If you don’t use the daily spells within the day, they will be replaced during the next reset.
Gigaverse Guide
Once you begin fishing in Gigaverse, the activity plays out in turns. Each turn, the fish will move to a new position on the grid. Your task is to keep track of its movement and predict where it will go next in order to successfully land a hit. Instead of using a traditional fishing rod, you’ll be casting spells directly onto the grid. These spells come with different targeting patterns, each affecting multiple tiles depending on the type of spell selected.

During fishing, you will need to manage your Mana Bar. Every spell you cast consumes mana, and if you run out before you capture the fish, the fish will escape. At the same time, your Capture Bar tracks how close you are to successfully catching the fish. Hitting the fish fills the bar, while missing reduces your progress, so timing and accuracy matter.
Some spells will highlight yellow tiles within their casting area. If the fish happens to be on one of these tiles when you cast, you will receive bonus capture points. However, these tiles are more difficult to predict, which adds a layer of risk. Using them wisely can significantly speed up the capture, but it also requires a good read on the fish’s movement.

If you need assistance while fishing in Gigaverse, look for Tonno, the dedicated Fishing NPC. Tonno is located close to the fishing area, making him easy to find after you start your session. He provides useful functions such as displaying your fish collection, allowing you to sell any fish you’ve caught, and offering basic guides on how fishing works in the game.
Gigaverse Guide
Fishing in Gigaverse adds a thoughtful layer of gameplay that goes beyond a simple side activity. It combines timing, strategy, and resource management in a way that feels both engaging and rewarding for players who enjoy more than just passive mechanics. While it may take a few tries to get used to the spell-based system, the daily spell variety and cast options give players enough flexibility to approach fishing at their own pace. Overall, it’s a solid addition that fits well into the game’s style and offers meaningful rewards for those willing to put in the effort.
