Overview
Gigaverse is a browser-based on-chain RPG made by GLHFers, live on the Abstract chain and powered by Proof of Play infrastructure. The game centers on simple-to-learn loops with real stakes, where players spend energy to run dungeons, craft gear and consumables, go fishing with a light card-like system, and trade items through an integrated on-chain marketplace. The developers describe three core goals: keep it easy to understand, build features that reward risk and persistence, and lean into nostalgia with pixel art and a straightforward RPG story players help drive over time.

Gigaverse
Game Lore
The setting introduces Gigus Maximus, a sentient AI framed as an “agentic antagonist” that shapes core mechanics and will orchestrate social and meta layers over time. The fiction positions Gigus as ever-watchful, tracking behaviors from the moment a player enters the game, including play consistency, performance, and trading. The world also references seven “Masters” tied to the game’s factions, with players choosing a faction on entry that can influence resource requirements for certain crafts.
Gameplay and Features
Gigaverse builds on the foundation of traditional RPGs while introducing modern twists to enhance the experience. Players can expect a balance of risk and reward, where strategic decisions lead to tangible outcomes, adding depth to the gameplay. The present game centers on three loops: Dungeons, Crafting, and Fishing. Each loop consumes energy, feeds back rewards and materials, and ties into progression and trading.
Dungetron 5000 is a rogue-lite combat dungeon with four floors, each containing four rooms. Players and enemies choose one of three moves per turn, Sword, Shield, or Spell, in a rock-paper-scissors relationship where Sword beats Spell, Spell beats Shield, and Shield beats Sword. Clearing rooms yields item drops and dungeon scrap used to upgrade skills. Dying resets a run, but drops already earned remain in the inventory. Entry currently costs 40 energy, with a daily cap of 10 runs for the Normal variant. Players can also “flee” after a room to bank progress without dying. Consumables crafted elsewhere can be brought in for an edge. Additional versions like “Gigus” and “Underhaul” exist, with a “Void” variant noted as coming soon.

Gigaverse
Crafting turns materials into consumables and gear. The Alchemy Bench produces consumables that support dungeon runs and other activities. The Workbench produces gear and charms. The Gear Station is where gear is equipped and repaired.
Fishing is a spell-driven mode played on a 3×3 grid. A fish moves to a cell each turn, and the player uses a small hand of spells with indicated hit locations and damage to fill a catch meter before running out of mana or missing too often. Fishing has three entry sizes with different energy costs, Small, Normal, and Big,and uses Fishing Rods to define starting spells. Fish carry stats like weight, length, and girth, and come in rarities from Common up to Giga. There is a normal daily cap on casts, with a higher cap when “juiced” via the Giga Juice system.

Gigaverse
Energy is the main limiter that controls how much players can do across the game’s core loops like dungeons, crafting, and fishing. Players who want to play longer sessions can use Giga Juice, a time-based boost that raises the daily energy cap, speeds up energy recovery, and adds small in-game benefits like an extra potion slot, sprinting, increased dungeon run allowances, and more fishing attempts.

Gigaverse
Some versions of Giga Juice also improve loot quality and, for ROM holders, increase shard and dust output. In the wider economy, Giga Juice can improve how efficiently Abstract Stubs convert during Traveling Merchant exchanges. It is available in different durations such as 7, 30, 90, and 180 days.
NFTs and Blockchain
Gigaverse runs on Abstract, a blockchain built to support lightweight on-chain games with fast transactions and low friction. The main collectible assets in Gigaverse are ROMs. These are NFTs that act as long-term alignment items and passive production sources. ROMs generate materials and resources on a weekly basis, and the output varies depending on the ROM’s tier. Higher-tier ROMs produce more resources, while still fitting into the same core progression system as regular play. ROMs are also tied to the Abstract XP cycle, meaning they contribute to the weekly XP snapshot that the broader Abstract ecosystem uses for engagement rewards. ROMs do not grant direct combat power inside the dungeon loops; instead, they shape a player’s long-term economic and progression strategy.
Most other items players interact with are crafted in-game or earned through dungeon runs and fishing. These can be traded freely through the Gigamarket, which is Gigaverse’s built-in on-chain marketplace.
