After months of anticipation, Fishing Frenzy is finally back with Phase 2, and let me tell you, it was well worth the wait. Fishing Frenzy 2.0 has loaded up with some seriously exciting new content, and of course, GAM3S.GG is ready to be your trusty guide as you dive in and get the most out of the game. But before we reel in the tips, let’s take a quick look at what this game is all about.
Fishing Frenzy is an on-chain fishing RPG that offers a fantastic blend of laid-back gameplay with a bit of skill thrown in. You’ll cast your line, snag fish, and rake in those sweet in-game rewards. What really sets the game apart is its player-driven economy, making each catch and trade feel a lot more meaningful. It’s got that perfect balance between casual fun and a rewarding challenge. Ready to cast off? Let’s dive deeper!
You can now play Fishing Frenzy right from your browser, whether you're on a PC, Mac, or even your phone. No installs needed, just head to the website and you're in. You’ve got options when it comes to logging in. You can start as a guest and link your wallet or socials later, or sign up right away using your wallet, email, socials, or mobile number. Once you're in, the game gives you a quick tutorial to get you familiar with the basics.
Fishing is the core of the game. It might look easy at first glance, but once you try it, you’ll see there’s a bit of skill involved. Each attempt to catch a fish costs energy. When your energy runs out, you’ll need to wait for the daily reset or come back the next day to keep fishing.
Here’s how to do it: tap and hold “Hold to Cast” to throw your line. When a bubble shows up, tap “Hook” to try and catch the fish. That means a fish took the bait. From there, your goal is to keep the fish inside the red bar. Tapping the reel raises the red bar, and letting go drops it. Keep the fish in that zone long enough, and the progress bar on the left fills up. Once it’s full, the fish is yours. Every fish you catch goes to your inventory, where you can either sell it for gold or cook it later.
Catching fish comes with different rarity, and both your casting distance and energy use play a part. The farther you cast, the better your chances of landing rare fish, but it also costs more energy. There are three fishing zones available:
Also, your fishing level puts a cap on what you can catch. You won’t be able to reel in everything right from the start. To unlock higher-tier fish, you’ll need to level up by earning experience from your catches. Keep fishing, level up, and you’ll unlock the good stuff as you go.
Catching fish takes more than just timing. If you want to make things easier and more rewarding, you'll need to start upgrading your accessories. Each upgrade costs 1 upgrade point, and you earn 1 point for every 5 fishing levels. So the more you level up, the more upgrade points you’ll have to work with. Here’s a quick breakdown of the six accessories you can upgrade:
Fishing Frenzy also includes a quest system with one-time and daily tasks that give you a reason to log in regularly. These quests reward you with gold and other valuable resources you’ll need as you play.
The referral system is another smart way to boost your progress. As your account levels up, both you and your referral get rewards. It’s not just one-sided, which makes it actually worth using if you’ve got friends jumping in.
In Fishing Frenzy, various resources and items enhance your gameplay experience. Here's a breakdown:
Players can compete in weekly leaderboards to earn extra rewards. The main way to climb the rankings is by fishing consistently, but it also depends on how efficiently you earn EXP with each catch. Timing, strategy, and upgrades all play a role.
Currently, there are three leaderboards available in the game: Fishing, Cooking, and Frenzy Points. The top performers in each category receive Chests as rewards. These Chests are especially valuable since they are the only way to obtain Rod NFTs, which give you a serious advantage in your fishing journey.
The newly added Battle Pass system helps speed up your progression by giving you gold each time you level up. This applies to the free Battle Pass, which all players can access. If you want more rewards, you can unlock the Premium Battle Pass by joining the current Frenzy Campaign for 20 RON. With the premium tier, you'll earn Frenzy Points as you level up. These points will be used for future rewards, so the more levels you climb, the more value you get. The goal is to keep progressing through the Battle Pass and make every level count.
If you're just starting out, one of the smartest moves you can make is to spend your gold on XP to level up faster. Try to reach at least level 5 early on so you can unlock accessory upgrades. Once upgrades are available, prioritize leveling up your Reel. This upgrade increases the size of the capture zone, making it much easier to catch fish consistently.
Avoid casting into the 5 to 6 meter zone for Legendary fish too early. Unless you’ve upgraded your Reel at least twice, it’s not worth burning 3 energy just to have the fish escape. Play it smart and build up your gear first.
And most importantly, do not sell your fish. Once you hit level 15, you’ll unlock the cooking feature, which lets you turn fish into Sashimi for even more rewards. Cooking is just as valuable as fishing, and there's even a separate leaderboard for it. So hang on to those catches, you'll need them later.
That’s a solid start to your Fishing Frenzy grind. If you’ve made it this far, you’ve already got the edge over most beginners. But let’s be real, fishing is only half the game. If you’re ignoring cooking, you’re leaving serious rewards on the table. If you really want to make the most of your catches and climb the leaderboards, you need to understand cooking too. You can check out the Cooking Guide to learn how to turn your fish into valuable resources and take your gameplay to the next level. Stay sharp, and I’ll see you there GAM3R.
