As you progress in the game, you’ll work your way through different challenges, leveling up and improving your fishing skills along the way.
Gameplay and Features
In Fishing Frenzy, the main objective is to cast your line, catch different types of fish, and earn rewards. You gain experience (EXP), gold, and leaderboard rankings by catching rare and valuable fish. To cast your line, simply hold down the cast button, longer casts use more energy but improve your chances of catching rarer fish.
Once you cast, wait for a bite, indicated by splashing in the water. Timing is important, you need to reel in the fish by tapping the screen to keep the fish icon within the capture zone. Successfully catching fish allows you to sell them for gold in the shop, which you can use to buy better fishing gear, energy items, and bait for rare fish.

Game resources like energy are used for each cast and replenish every 24 hours, while EXP is earned by catching fish and helps you level up. Gold, the main in-game currency, can be earned by selling fish or purchased with Crypto. The rarity of the fish you catch depends on your fishing level, bait, and cast length, with rare fish requiring specialized bait. Players are ranked on weekly leaderboards based on their experience, and top performers receive chests with rewards like energy and bait, ranging from Legendary to Common tiers.
NFTs & Blockchain
Fishing Frenzy uses NFTs as collectibles and long-term progression markers rather than outright pay-to-win tools. Things like rod skins, shiny or seasonal fish, and special skins can be earned through play or traded on the marketplace, but they don’t guarantee better catch power or higher success rates. The skill element such timing your casts, hitting perfect reels, andenergy management, still decides who climbs the leaderboards.
Throughout 2025, the game introduced seasonal NFT campaigns where players could earn limited chests and cosmetic items that won’t return once the season ends. These items act as proof-of-play and give dedicated players something meaningful to show off over time.
Fishing Frenzy currently runs its ecosystem on the Ronin network, where players can trade NFT items directly.
