Looking for a chill fishing game where you can actually earn? Fishing Frenzy has been making waves with its cozy vibes, simple gameplay, and visuals that make it easy for anyone—even your mom—to get hooked (pun fully intended). The game includes play-to-earn features through web3 mechanics like NFT rods and shiny fish, which we’ve covered in a previous guide. But today, we’re focusing on how to earn Frenzy Points, which is essentially the game’s version of a play-to-airdrop campaign. So grab your rod, hop in the boat, and let’s get fishing.
As part of its official launch, Fishing Frenzy has introduced a new progression and reward system called Frenzy Points, designed to reward active players within the game's growing web3 ecosystem. Frenzy Points serve as the foundation for the game's play-to-airdrop campaign, offering players a chance to earn future rewards based on their in-game activity and contributions.
There are several ways to earn Frenzy Points in Fishing Frenzy, and most of them revolve around simply playing the game and making progress. Here’s how it works:
The Battle Pass system is one of the main methods. As players catch fish, use consumables, activate boosts, or equip rare rods, they gain XP. This XP levels up their account and unlocks rewards from both the Free and Premium battle passes. The Free Battle Pass usually gives gold (the game’s basic currency) and consumables, while the Premium version grants Frenzy Points at every level. It’s a steady grind that pays off the more you fish.
Then there’s the VIP system, which is geared toward medium to high spenders. Players who hit certain spending milestones in the in-game store unlock bonus Frenzy Points, and sometimes even multipliers to boost future point earnings. VIPs can also receive exclusive cosmetic rewards like rare rods and pets. So if you're planning to spend, this is the most efficient way to boost your Frenzy Point stash.
Leaderboards are another key way to earn. Every week, players who rank in the top 100 of the Fishing or Cooking leaderboards receive Frenzy Points in addition to the usual prizes like chests.
The new cooking system, in particular, gives your fish even more value. Regular fish can be cooked for consumables like sashimi (which restores energy) and cooking XP (tied to the cooking leaderboard). Shiny fish, which are NFTs, can be burned for better sashimi and much more cooking XP—making them ideal if you're chasing that cooking leaderboard spot.
The rarer sashimi types can then be sold for Pearls, a premium in-game currency. Pearls are used to spin the Gacha Wheel, which contains a mix of consumables, chests, and most importantly, Frenzy Points. Spins can reward anywhere from 20,000 to 1 million points in a single go. So if you’re cooking, you’re not just fueling gameplay, you’re also building up a stash for a big Frenzy points jackpot spin.
Finally, Fishing Frenzy includes a simple Referral Program. Share your invite code with friends, and when they hit level milestones, you’ll receive a cut of their Frenzy Points (for a limited time). You can also send them free gold once a day to remind them to log in and play, helping both of you grow your rewards.
Fishing Frenzy lets cozy gamers earn, compete, or just chill, however they like, all while casually reeling in fish and having a genuinely good time. With fun upcoming updates like the Cooking Contest, there’s always something new to explore in Fishing Frenzy's ever-expanding uncharted waters.
