So you've heard about Fableborne's rebranding and ongoing play-to-airdrop campaign and want to dive into the game right now? Well, we've got you covered. This edition of GAM3S.GG Game Guides will walk you through a beginner's guide to Fableborne. But before we dive into the guide, let's have a brief overview of what Fableborne is.

Fableborne is a fast-paced Action RPG where players raid and defend kingdoms for loot and glory. You can better understand the game's concepts by comparing it to a mix of Clash of Clans' base defense mechanics combined with a top-down MOBA, with a touch of Diablo Immortal. The game revolves around leading your "heroes" into battle, where you can continuously evolve, level up, and master them to raid higher difficulty levels. These heroes have classic roles such as high HP tanks and mages that deal high DPS and AoE spells.

Fableborne features two game modes. The first is PvE, which includes most of what is discussed above. On the other hand, the PvP game mode is where the Clash of Clans similarities stem from; instead of heroes, you defend your base with various units that you can also evolve and level up to defend against other players who might want to raid it. This guide will focus on Fableborne's PvE game mode.

Getting Started with Fableborne

The game is now available on mobile devices, both Android and iOS. If you are keen on trying out the game on PC, it can be emulated using an emulator like Bluestacks. Once installed, you can readily play the game as a guest. You can also manage your profile and assets by linking your Pixion account. The game's controls are simple and similar to mobile MOBAs. You use the D-pad on the left side and press your hero's corresponding skills on the right side of the screen. Unlike MOBAs, current Fableborne heroes do not need Mana to cast their skills; instead, they just need to wait for their cooldown to use them again.

PvE Game Mode

The PvE game mode is centered around "campaign raids," a series of increasingly difficult levels where your hero raids castles and encounters various mobs. These units are reminiscent of Clash of Clans units such as tanks, archers, and wizards. Upon clearing a campaign raid, the next level will open up for you to clear. Clearing each campaign will reward you with in-game currency, Gold, which you can use to upgrade units, and Gems, which you can use to evolve your heroes continuously. Speaking of heroes, the current game version has two available: the paladin/warrior type Glint and the wizard/mage type Rift. Glint is a tanky warrior but also mobile with his shield dashes that can displace enemy units. On the other hand, Rift has high DPS thanks to his range and AoE spells but is quite squishy.

General Gameplay Tips and Tricks

Complete Quests: Aside from clearing your campaign raids, try completing your quests too, as they give gold and gems to further upgrade your heroes.

Use Terrain to Your Advantage: Some ranged enemy units throw projectiles that won't go through walls. Use this to your advantage, especially when kiting or avoiding damage.

Choose the Hero that Suits Your Playstyle: The game currently only has two heroes. The tanky Glint can be easier for beginners as he has more ways to survive and can take hits. On the other hand, the wizard Rift deals a lot of damage but requires more mastery of his positioning and skill cooldown management.

Master Glint's Shield Rush: Glint's Shield Rush is a very useful skill. First, you can use it to displace enemy units, pushing them into the range of your AoE spells. It is also a dash, so you can use it to cover distance. For bigger enemies, you can't push them with Shield Rush, but you can go through them, quickly repositioning yourself and avoiding damage. Don't forget that you can manually aim your Shield Rush spell to make more precise dashes.

Optimize Rift's AoE Spells: The wizard Rift is squishy but can deal high amounts of damage, especially to mobs, thanks to his AoE spells. The key to maximizing his DPS is kiting enemy mobs into his bread-and-butter combo, which is the Meteor skill first, followed by the Arcane Push skill, as the latter deals more damage to burning targets applied by the former. Take good use of his teleport/dash skill as it has a significantly further range compared to Glint's. Rift's teleport goes through walls and units, so use this to kite effectively. And if all else fails, his ultimate is an AoE heal, but take note that you have to hit a unit to activate the heal effect.

Take Note of Enemy Units that Apply Status Effects: Watch out for enemy units that can hit you with nasty status effects like slow or poison. It's smart to take these guys out early so they don't mess up your game.

Watch out for Enemy Attack Range Indicators: Keep an eye on enemy attack range indicators. Knowing their range and attack patterns will help you dodge perfectly. This is also a great way to time Glint's invulnerable skill for maximum effect.

Play Safe Against High HP Bosses: For clearing higher campaign levels, try playing safe against the high HP bosses. The time allotted for clearing the raid is generous, so you can spend time waiting for your cooldowns and playing it safe. As a general tip, you can lure out the mobs that spawn closer to the boss and then use your AoE skills to hit both the mob and the boss. Wait for your cooldowns, rinse, and repeat until you clear the levels.

And that wraps up our beginner's guide to Fableborne! We hope this guide has you geared up and ready to conquer the world of Fableborne. Stay tuned for future installments where we'll dive into the PvP game mode and more. Thanks for reading, and happy raiding!
