Game Lore
In the universe of EVE Frontier, players awaken in a decimated galaxy, trapped between the gravitational forces of three supermassive black holes. Once a thriving space civilization, the region now lies in ruins, plagued by rogue AI that corrupt and consume everything in their path. The survivors, you included, must navigate this hostile environment, scavenge for resources, form alliances, and rebuild society from the ground up. The vast, ever-evolving universe is shaped by players’ actions, where every decision and interaction holds real consequences, creating a living, breathing world that is both unpredictable and dangerous.
Gameplay and Features
In EVE Frontier, gameplay revolves around the unique concept of "Digital Physics," where the universe is governed by fixed rules. Every action, whether it’s traveling, building, or combat, requires energy (Fuel), making resource management critical for survival. The game’s economy is fully player-controlled, which means resources are mined, crafted into items, and traded among players in an open marketplace. Every item is unique, with a detailed history of its creation and usage.
One of the key feature in the game is Smart Assemblies, which are customizable objects that players can build and program. These allow for the creation of structures like storage units and defense systems, giving players the freedom to shape their bases and interactions with the world. Exploration and combat are central to the experience, with vast biomes to scout and battles ranging from small skirmishes to large-scale conflicts over resources and territory.
To thrive in EVE Frontier, collaboration is the key. Players can form Tribes (small groups) or Syndicates (larger alliances) to increase their influence and achieve bigger goals together. These groups are essential for defending territory, controlling trade routes, and working together to achieve bigger goals. Teamwork plays a central role in navigating the challenges of the game’s harsh environment.
Cycles and Grace
Founder Access: New Era kicks off a brand-new seasonal progression system for EVE Frontier called Cycles. The first Cycle, Promised Lands, started on 11 June 2025. Players will gain Grace for completing in-game missions and activities, rising to the top of each Cycle Leaderboard alongside their Tribe. As Founder Access: New Era continues, Cycles will continue to introduce new missions, objectives and content.
Grace is the core of EVE Frontier's reward system. Players will gain Grace for completing missions and activities, rising to the top of each Cycle Leaderboard. Progress is viewable in the mission hub, which is available in-game and on EVEFrontier.com. At the end of each Cycle, Founders will be able to convert their Grace into EVE Points.
EVE Points
EVE Points are a measure of your legacy in EVE Frontier Founder Access. They persist across Cycles, offering an ongoing mark of progression. These accumulate over time and will become increasingly important within the Frontier as the universe evolves out of Founder Access. Participation in multiple cycles enhances your recognition, with bonuses granted for consistency and collective progress.
How to Get Started
EVE Frontier is currently in its third Cycle, and there are two main ways to access the game:
Purchase a Founder Access Pack
Founder Access Packs provide immediate entry into the game. They also include exclusive cosmetics and premium subscription time that will become active once the game transitions out of Founder Access. Players can choose the pack that suits them best from the official purchase page.
Join a Free Trial Event
The game periodically opens free trial periods that allow anyone to explore the Frontier without cost. During a trial, players only need to create an account, download the client, and log in to start playing. The current trial runs until October 27.
If no free trial is active, creating an account in advance is still recommended so players receive notifications when the next trial begins.
