Overview

Domenation is a multiplayer video game developed by Blackmouth Games that blends the Battle Royale genre with unique mechanics and web3 elements. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, players engage in battles against human opponents and in-game creatures, aiming to survive on a dynamic battlefield. Domenation uses a Prime-to-Play model, making it accessible for both traditional and web3 gamers.

Game Lore

The lore of Domenation is set in a world that survived a major disaster thanks to protective domes powered by a rare mineral, Domenite. This mineral's scarcity led to conflicts, which were controlled by corporations through regulated Dome Games. Players fight to secure Domenite extraction contracts, and as they play, they uncover more of the game's story through various seasons and in-game content.

Gameplay and Features

Domenation introduces several unique gameplay elements that set it apart from traditional Battle Royale games. Players need to find shelter in periodically appearing domes to avoid deadly pulses that sweep the map. As the game progresses, the number of domes decreases, heightening the combat intensity. The game features a mix of player versus player (PvP) and player versus environment (PvE) combat, with players battling both other players and NPC mutants for valuable loot. Each game lasts about 12 minutes, offering a fast-paced and engaging experience.

Game Modes

In Deathclock mode, you start with just 5 minutes. When that clock hits zero, it’s game over - you’re out. And don’t think you can just hang out; time slips away even faster outside the naughty Dome. Stay inside, stay sharp, or say goodbye!

Exploration and looting are crucial aspects of Domenation. Players explore the map to find loot, which can be obtained from chests, loot rifts, airdrops, and by defeating other players. Loot includes weapons, ammunition, consumables, and throwable items essential for survival and combat.

Dome Mechanics

Domes are central to the gameplay in Domenation. They appear shortly after the match begins and continue to appear periodically. Players must reach these domes before the pulse strikes, as being outside can result in damage or elimination. As the game progresses, the number of domes decreases, leading to the final showdown in the last remaining dome.

Rifts, Maps and Enemies

Rifts are specific zones where chests containing valuable equipment appear. These chests are guarded by NPC enemies that players must defeat to claim the loot. The difficulty and quality of the loot increase as the match progresses, adding an extra layer of challenge. The game map features various biomes with diverse vegetation and terrain, offering strategic advantages and challenges. Players must navigate through these different environments, each with its own unique set of obstacles and opportunities.

Players can personalize their gaming experience with NFTs, including character skins, weapon skins, and other customization items. These items can be upgraded and evolved to provide minor gameplay advantages and enhance their appearance.

  • Skins: Character and weapon skins can be leveled up and upgraded to unlock perks and improve visual appearance.
  • Weapons: A variety of weapons are available, each with different rarity tiers and specific ammunition types.
  • Cosmetic Items: Graffiti, player cards, and animations allow players to customize their in-game representation.

NFTs and Blockchain

Domenation incorporates blockchain technology to offer unique in-game assets and a player-driven economy, enabling players to earn, trade, and upgrade NFTs that represent character skins, weapon skins, and other customization items. Utilizing its proprietary cryptocurrency, $DOMEN, for transactions and rewards, the game recently announced a partnership with Immutable, promising significant advancements for its NFT system.

How to Get Started

Domenation is currently in its closed beta testing phase. However, you can add the game to your wish list on various platforms, including Steam and Epic Games, to stay updated and be among the first to know when it fully launches. Players interested in joining the ecosystem might be intrigued by their upcoming NFT launch. Domenation is preparing to launch the Love U 3K NFT Collection, featuring the character Bippie, which offers exclusive in-game benefits such as unique skins, access to Domehunters Tournaments, and special victory poses.

This collection extends beyond in-game enhancements, providing VIP access to early game versions, exclusive Discord stickers, early access to future NFTs, discounts on merchandise, and monthly rewards. Access to these NFTs can be obtained through various means such as winning raffles, events, and tournaments, which are often announced on Domenation's social media channels.
