Along the way, they face rival captains, AI controlled pirate fleets, and massive bosses that require both firepower and smart tactical thinking. Gameplay and Features

Core Gameplay Loop Players pilot customizable starships through short, intense stages. Levels feature waves of enemies, environmental hazards, and boss encounters. Movement is responsive, and attacks are tied to the ship’s equipped weapons. Equipment System Power progression in DarkStar relies heavily on its equipment system. Ships are fitted with six main components:

Wingmen and Aircraft In addition to the main ship, players can equip Wingmen, AI controlled allies that provide extra firepower. Fully equipping a wingman with all its parts unlocks powerful special attacks, such as wide area flame sprays or explosive bombardments.

There are also multiple aircraft models beyond the starter ship, each with unique stats and upgrade potential. These are unlocked through Endless Trials, a PvE challenge mode where players earn points to spend in a dedicated shop.
