Overview
In Castle of Blackwater, 15 players find themselves trapped in a castle where they must complete tasks and navigate a web of alliances and deceit to escape with their lives. The game is a battle between good and evil, where players must decide whom to trust as they strive to claim victory in the castle.
What is a Social Deduction game?
Social Deduction is a genre of game in which players attempt to uncover each other's hidden role or team allegiance through communication and perception. By analyzing the behaviours and alibi’s of different players, one can slowly find more evidence and build up a case against another player. There is usually a ‘good’ and an ‘evil’ side, in which the good are trying to achieve an objective and the evil are pretending to be good, but secretly eliminating them.
Some will work together, forming bonds and strong alliances. Others will pretend and deceive, with their own interests at heart. In the ever-lasting battle between good and evil, only one side will survive to claim the Castle’s victory. When lives are at stake and the truth has no meaning, who will you trust?
Factions
Players can choose from various characters, each with unique abilities and playstyles, to match their preferred approach to the game. The roles are divided among the factions, with each role contributing differently to the gameplay.
Players can join one of three factions within Blackwater Town, each with its own backstory, hideout, and community:
- The Protectors: The original faction, known for teamwork and compassion, aims to complete challenges and vote out Satanic players to win.
- The Satanic: A faction that thrives on power and deception, seeking to eliminate Protector players without being discovered.
- The Forgotten: A mysterious group with unclear motives, playing their own game and winning by completing individual missions.

Economy and Customization
