GAM3R, have you already mapped out your strategy for the upcoming Cambria Season 2? If not, don’t worry. I’ve got your back. This guide is built to be one of the most helpful resources to level up your gameplay. We’re diving deep into Fishing and Cooking, two key elements you’ll need to survive tougher challenges, boost your character, and take down the competition. Let’s get into it.

Fishing and Cooking Progression

In Cambria you start in the Safe Zone with basic fishing gear, catching Raw Trout, which you cook at Cooking Level 1 to make Grilled Trout. This restores 30 HP instantly, giving you a helpful early boost. 

As you improve your fishing and cooking skills, you'll unlock better fish and recipes:

  • Fishing Level 15 lets you catch Raw Cod, which you can cook at Cooking Level 30 to make Grilled Cod, healing 50 HP.
  • At Fishing Level 30, you can catch Raw Carp, which is cooked at Cooking Level 60 to make Grilled Carp, healing 110 HP.
  • Fishing Level 50 and Cooking Level 70 unlock Raw Lobster, which heals 150 HP when cooked into Grilled Lobster.
  • At Fishing Level 70 and Cooking Level 80, you can catch Raw Eel and cook it into Grilled Eel, which heals 200 HP.
  • The best fish, Raw Rock Fish, is unlocked at Fishing Level 80 and Cooking Level 90, healing 240 HP when cooked into Grilled Rock Fish. Can be found in T4

Extra Needs and Perks

As you level up in Cambria, fishing becomes more efficient, and your access to improved tools and resources grows. At Fishing Level 50, you unlock the Enhanced Rod, a significant upgrade that increases your fishing efficiency, allowing you to catch fish more quickly and in greater quantities. Along with this, you'll also gain access to Bait, which attracts higher-tier fish, giving you the chance to catch more valuable and rewarding catches.

As you continue to progress in both fishing and cooking, the benefits of your efforts grow even more. Your dishes become more powerful, providing better healing with each level. Higher-tier fish, when cooked, restore significantly more HP, making them essential for surviving tougher challenges. Additionally, your improved skills unlock better fishing spots across the game world. These new areas, often located in more higher tier regions, offer more valuable fish, helping you level up faster and gain better rewards as you explore further into Cambria's environment. 

Special Dishes and Their Benefits

In addition to grilled fish that restore HP, there are also dishes that provide temporary boosts to your character’s skills and experience gain. These meals not only aid in healing but also enhance your efficiency in various areas of the game. Here’s how they work:

  • Cod Chunks: Can be cooked at Cooking Level 10 using (5) Raw Trout, this dish boosts your effective cooking level by 15 and increases experience gained by 10% for 5 minutes. 
  • King's Lobster Delight: At Cooking Level 50, this dish requires (3) Raw Lobster and Raw Kelp that enhances your Agility Level by 15 while boosting experience gained by 10% for 5 minutes. 
  • Hearty Stew: Made with (3) Raw Carp and Raw Kelp at Cooking Level 55, this dish boosts mining, woodcutting, and fishing XP by 20% for 3 minutes. 
  • Anchovy Soup: Cooked at Cooking Level 55 with (5) Raw Cod and (5) Raw Trout, this increases effective fishing level by 15 and boosts fishing experience by 10% for 5 minutes. 
  • Rabbit Pie: Crafted at Cooking Level 65, using Raw Carp and (5) Raw Trout, this dish enhances your Smithing Level by 5 and boosts experience gained by 10% for 5 minutes. 
  • Cambrian Pie: At Cooking Level 70, you use (5) Raw Cod, (5) Cow Meat, (5) Oak Logs, and Raw Eel to create this pie, which boosts all XP gained by 10% for 1.5 minutes.
  • Honey Cake: This dish is made at Cooking Level 80 with (5) Raw Kelp, (5) Boar Meat and Raw Eel which increases your Engineering Level by 15 while boosting experience gained by 10% for 5 minutes. 

Tips and Tricks

  • Food items act like potions, offering instant HP recovery, which is crucial for both combat and exploration. The better the fish you catch and cook, the more effective your healing will be. 
  • As you progress, certain fish and dishes provide stronger healing or boosts. Focus on fishing and cooking higher-tier fish to unlock more powerful recovery foods. You’ll need to plan your leveling carefully, ensuring that you’re prepared for tougher areas and challenges.
  • Keep an eye out for T3+ fishing zones, these areas, offer more valuable resources. To access these zones effectively, you’ll need a higher fishing and cooking level, so it’s worth investing time in leveling these skills.
  • Many of the special dishes not only boost your skills but also increase your XP gain. If you're looking to level up quickly and efficiently, don’t skip out on these meals. They can make a significant difference in your overall progress, especially when you're tackling high-level tasks.
