Overview

Blocklords aims to spearhead the strategy genre in web3 gaming and bring everything players know and love from successful franchises like Age of Empires, Total War, and Crusader Kings.

In Blocklords, each choice and action impacts a player’s in-game legacy, effectively empowering players to create their own unique shared experiences with others. Each Hero character is a digital asset, and players have full ownership of the game’s economy.

Depending on the path you take, you can become a contributing and active member in the game's ecosystem. Whether you lean more towards farming and resource management or brute forcing your way into glory by fighting your foes, your decisions and skills will impact the world around you.

Path to the Crown

Everyone in Blocklords starts off as a simple farmer. Your Hero NFT is what represents you in-game, and your actions can take you on whichever path you choose. Once you gather up enough resources as a farmer, it is your call to either transition into being a Knight or Raider or continue being a farmer and build your name amongst the core backbone of society.

If you decide to become a Knight or Raider, you need to choose the one most suitable to your personality. Knights are more loyal fighters, pledging your allegiance to a Lord in exchange for a more stable salary. As a Knight, your duty is simple: Defend Farmers and villages, and kill any Raider you encounter.

On the other hand, Raiders are the rogue warriors of Blocklords. You are a lone wolf and answer to no one. You will make your living attacking innocent Farmers, stealing resources from Lords, and wreak havoc in villages.

Understandably, Raiders have very low chances, if any, of progressing further up the ranks. Once you have made a name for yourself and everyone respects you, you can get your first taste of the ruling class, Lords and Ladies.

Among their tasks, Lords are responsible for collecting taxes and resources from Farmers, offering rewards and salaries to Knights, as well as managing and developing cities and infrastructure.

By utilizing your skills and conquering the path before you effectively, players may have the opportunity to rise to the ultimate rank of King or Queen. Once you are sitting on the throne, it’s your duty to determine the priorities of your kingdom. Rulers govern nations, which are the largest territory type in Blocklords.

Their role includes managing currency, national policies, diplomacy, trade agreements, and research available to their armies and regions. They may also choose to start or engage in realm-altering wars on a national scale.

Life in the Kingdom

Blocklords’ gameplay is built around giving our players the agency to make their own decisions and shape their own stories. Whether you decide to live a fulfilling life on a farm or create a grand strategy to rise to the throne, the path and ultimate fate of your Hero is directly determined by your in-game choices.

The game revolves around four core mechanisms, explained in the section below.

Farm, Fight, Rule, and Conquer

• Farm: Farmers are the core of any economic structure and Blocklords is no different. Players who start off the game without a character NFT will be assigned the Farmer role. You get to gather, mine, process, and craft various materials to refine into useable currency. The role’s activities cover a wider variety of actions as well, allowing players to manage animals and livestock. All of these resources can be traded on the marketplace to keep everyone in business.

• Fight: Players who save up enough resources and no longer want to be a Farmer may choose to leave their farm behind in favor of building an army. From there, two more paths will open for you to choose from: Knight or Raider.

• Rule: Players who make successful and effective decisions in Blocklords and rise through the ranks may have the opportunity to claim a ruling role. The first type of ruling role, Lords and Ladies, carry their own unique functions and responsibilities.

• Conquer: By utilizing your skills and conquering the path before you effectively, players may have the opportunity to rise to the ultimate rank of King or Queen. As a King or Queen, it’s your duty to determine the priorities of your kingdom. GameDrop Campaign

Blocklords recently launched its GameDrop campaigns in early 2024, creating exciting opportunities for both active players and asset holders to be rewarded with $LRDS tokens for their participation in the community. These GameDrops come in seasons, with several more planned throughout the year. Each GameDrop aims to introduce new features and bring the community closer to the $LRDS Token Generation Event (TGE). The rewards for participating in these GameDrops are outlined in a detailed rewards table. For now, $LRDS tokens are exclusively available through these GameDrops and in-game activities, with plans for wider accessibility following the TGE.

How to get started with Blocklords?

• Head over to the Epic Games Store, find BLOCKLORDS, add it to your library, and get it installed.
• Visit the BLOCKLORDS website to create your account. You can also sign up right in the game using your Epic Games account, email, or other easy login options
• Start trading $LORDS tokens and check out the Heroes & Banners Marketplace to pick up new items. 
• Get started with farming by following the farmer tutorial. Navigate using the QEWASD keys and keep an eye on mission instructions.
  
• Begin your journey by sending out the Villager Squad to gather wood, an essential resource for your adventures.
