Hourglasses are special collectibles in Big Time, crafted by the Time Warden. Their primary function is to help players acquire $BIGTIME, the game's currency.

Acquisition and Rarity

Players can obtain Hourglasses either by purchasing them or crafting them using the Time Warden. These Hourglasses come in ten different rarity tiers, from Common to Unique. The rarer the Hourglass, the more $BIGTIME it can generate for the player.

Using Hourglasses

When players equip Hourglasses during their adventures, they can earn $BIGTIME. The amount earned is influenced by the rarity of the Hourglass and the player's gameplay skill and efficiency. Challenging game content will yield more $BIGTIME. Players have the option to equip multiple Hourglasses, up to a maximum of five, by spending Time Crystals. The cost to equip additional Hourglasses increases with each slot, but once unlocked, these slots are permanently available.

Active Time and Recharging

Hourglasses have a limited active time during which they can generate $BIGTIME. Once this active time is exhausted, the Hourglass needs to be recharged. Players can recharge their Hourglasses using the Time Warden's "Recharge Hourglass" action.
