Big Time has continuously showcased its promise on the path to becoming a prominent player in the web3 and blockchain-native gaming sector. The eagerly awaited cooperative MMORPG Preseason Launch update is approaching, promising a plethora of new features designed to cater to a wide array of players. If you're curious about Time Wardens and their role in the game, this guide is for you. Let's break it down.
Time Wardens are special collectibles in Big Time that primarily focus on crafting, upgrading, and recharging Hourglasses. Think of them as master craftsmen who can manipulate time.
Time Wardens possess a range of ten rarity tiers, starting from Common and extending up to Unique. The rarity of a Time Warden not only signifies its exclusivity but also determines the quality of Hourglasses it can interact with. For instance, a Legendary Time Warden has the capability to craft Hourglasses ranging from Common to Mythic. This means that the higher the rarity of the Time Warden, the more diverse and superior Hourglasses it can craft, upgrade, or recharge. It's essential to note that a Time Warden can only craft, upgrade, or recharge Hourglasses that are one rarity tier higher than its own or lower.
Time Wardens are categorized into four distinct types, each identifiable by a unique color and accompanied by a special bonus. These bonuses are designed to enhance specific crafting actions, optimizing certain tasks to be completed faster or more efficiently. The four types of Time Wardens are:
Each type's specialization boosts the speed of a particular crafting action. The extent of this speed enhancement is contingent on the rarity of the Time Warden. Generally, single specializations tend to have a faster speed compared to those with multiple specializations. An exception to this rule is the Rainbow-colored Time Warden, which offers players the flexibility to choose between Red, Blue, and Green, activating only the selected color. This adaptability ensures that players can tailor their Time Warden's abilities according to their needs.
Furthermore, apart from the Rainbow color, Time Wardens exhibit dual colors. This feature allows players to choose one out of the two available colors, granting them specific bonuses. For instance, the Red/Blue color combination offers a 5% increase in crafting and recharging speed and reduces the Time Crystals cost by 5%. Similarly, the Blue/Green combination provides an extra bonus roll slot and a 5% reduction in Time Crystals cost. The Green/Red combination enhances crafting and recharging speed by 5% and grants an additional bonus roll slot. The Rainbow color encapsulates all the aforementioned bonuses.
Time Wardens use Time Crystals to craft and upgrade Hourglasses. However, once crafted, Hourglasses are empty. They need to be recharged by a Time Warden before they can produce $BIGTIME Tokens.
As Hourglasses deplete over time, they'll need recharging. Time Wardens use Time Crystals for this task, ensuring your Hourglasses are always ready to generate tokens.
If you have excess Cracked Hourglasses, you can dismantle them to retrieve a portion of the potential $BIGTIME tokens. This is especially useful for players with many Hourglasses or those with high-rarity ones that don't have time to use the Cracked versions. Dismantling takes a bit of time and some Time Crystals.
Just like in many RPGs, your Time Warden can level up! By performing tasks like crafting and recharging, they gain experience. Once they've earned enough, you can use Time Crystals to level them up instantly. A higher-level Time Warden is more efficient and offers additional crafting bonuses.
When crafting with a Time Warden, you have the chance to use bonus rolls. These rolls can enhance the outcome of your crafting action. By spending Time Crystals, you can lock in specific bonuses, aiming to get the best possible results.
Time Wardens are essential assets in Big Time, helping players craft, upgrade, and recharge Hourglasses. As you dive deeper into the game, remember to utilize your Time Warden to maximize your rewards and gameplay experience. Happy adventuring!
