The storyline centers around a pantheon of deities such as Nan-Madol, the god of emptiness and balance. These gods influence the gameplay by adding new dimensions to dungeon explorations and enemy confrontations through a variety of challenges and rewards.

BattleRise offers a strategic, turn-based combat system requiring players to tactically manage a team of champions, each with distinct abilities. Success in battles hinges on exploiting enemy vulnerabilities and strategically commanding your team. At the Forge, players can use materials like Starsteel to create Epic Artifacts, significantly enhancing their champions’ capabilities. This feature is pivotal for both boosting combat effectiveness and crafting gear.

The game's structure includes multi-level dungeons each presenting unique challenges. Updates regularly introduce fresh deities and adversaries, along with game-changing modifiers. Notable events like the Dragon Hunt and Catching Souls Event reward players with rare artifacts. Champions are upgradable through battle gains, with resources used for leveling up and customization.
