Axie Infinity’s entry into the MMO genre is of course Atia’s Legacy. With the game’s first playtest out for the past few days, players are already having fun and theorycrafting what builds work best for gold farming or boss fights. If you’re one of the lucky few with playtest access, here are some builds worth trying.
Before diving in, remember that an Atia’s Legacy squad is made of 1 permanent Axie (Tripp) and 4 squad slots. Those slots are where you’ll experiment with mob farming builds. The current version of Atia’s Legacy is focused on mob farming, squad building, and boss battles. Features like guilds will come later, but for now, it’s mostly about farming gold to buy gear, reroll Axie parts, and create your best squad. Mob farming works like most MMOs: monsters spawn on the map, and your squad takes them down for loot (gold).

Atia's Legacy Guide: Best Fun Builds for Mobbing
1. FeatherStorm (Bird + Bow + DEX Builds)
The classic MMO bowman setup. Usually 2–3 Birds with a tank or sustain support. Birds are naturally strong with bows thanks to their high DEX and WILL stats, translating into attack speed, crit rate, and reliable ranged damage.

Atia's Legacy Bird Build
The bow ultimate is amazing for farming since it spreads in three lines. If aimed correctly, you can hit multiple mobs at once. Just note the ult can miss if enemies aren’t in the line of sight. The trick is to let your Bird auto-attack first, align with the mob, then cast the ult for a guaranteed hit.
Skill build
- Mouth: Peace Maker → crit chance while above 90% HP
- Horn: Feather Spear → “feather” interaction
- Back: Tri Feather → “feather” application
- Tail: Fish Snack → more crit chance
Gear: Prioritize flat DEX and DEX%. Crit chance and crit damage are your best rolls. With Peace Maker’s bonus and some crit chance gear, you can push over 50% crit and keep farming nonstop.
For teammates, add high-HP Plant tanks with shields or heals. Bug Axe users also work since Axe skills bring strong crowd control while Birds deal damage.
2. BUG Axe Spin to Win
My personal favorite. Your Axies go full Garen—spinning and yelling DEMACIA (I mean LUNACIA!!) while wiping mobs. It’s easy, powerful, and very rewarding for PVE farming.
The idea: use 2–3 Axe users (often Bugs). One dives into the mob and casts their ultimate, pulling enemies together. The others ult right after, layering insane AoE damage and CC. Because Axe ultimates hit hard even at base values, you don’t need to build pure damage; bruiser or off-tank works perfectly.

Atia's Legacy Bird Spin to Win
Skill build
- Mouth: Nut Cracker or Peace Maker (crit), Razor Bite (if poison synergy)
- Horn: Caterpillars (shield) or Unko (poison)
- Back: Red Ear (shield synergy), Snail Shell, Timber
- Tail: Grassnake (poison), Nut Cracker, Fish Snack (crit), Navaga (uptime)
Gear: Main stat STR. STR% and physical attack (flat/%) are top picks. Depending on your build, defensive stats like dodge or resistances are solid. MP regen is great too for spamming skills.
3. Cannon Nuke
A meme build but hilarious when it works. Stack 2–3 Cannon users (Aqua or Reptiles with high INT), aim, and watch mobs explode. Think of it as the ranged version of Spin to Win, though less reliable since cannon projectiles can miss. Cannons act like mixed physical/magic DPS weapons, unlike staffs which are better for support.

Atia's Legacy Cannon Nuke
Skill build
- Mouth: Peace Maker (crit)
- Horn: Anemone (bubble applier)
- Back: Anemone (bubble synergy)
- Tail: Navaga (ult cooldown reduction)
Gear: INT and INT% as main stats. Roll for magic damage, MP regen, crit rate, and crit damage. To fix the accuracy issue, pair with an Axe user: let the Axe pull mobs to center, wait for Cannons to lock on with autos, then ult for reliable nukes.
See You in Lunacia
And that’s it for our favorite Atia’s Legacy mobbing builds! Beginner or not, hopefully this guide gave you some fun ideas to mess around with during the playtest, whether you’re critting away with Featherstorm birds, spinning through mobs with god bug axes, or blowing everything up with the Boom Squad. For now the game’s pretty much about farming gold, rerolling parts, and seeing what squads feel good, but as updates drop with new gear, guilds, and tougher bosses, there’s gonna be even more room to experiment. We’ll cover boss strats in the next guide, but until then, farm hard, test builds, and have fun out there in Lunacia!
