Overview
Axie Infinity: Atia’s Legacy brings the Axie universe into a full-scale MMO where players lead a squad of up to four Axies in real-time combat, take on quests across Lunacia’s diverse regions, and connect with others in shared town hubs. Designed for both PC and mobile with cross-platform play, the game expands on earlier Axie titles by combining exploration, crafting, and guild-based play into one persistent world. Existing Axie assets such as Axies and Land plots carry forward into this new experience, while newcomers can start with accessible starter squads to learn the game’s systems.

Gameplay and Features
Squad-Based Combat
Combat has shifted from turn-based card battles into a real-time system. Players lead a team of four Axies in battles where movement, timing, and skill use directly affect the outcome. Positioning, dodging, and ability combos matter, especially in tougher PvE fights or competitive matches planned for the future.

Dynamic Progression
Your whole squad levels up together rather than separately. As you progress, you’ll unlock abilities and collect gear that comes in different rarity tiers, from Common up to Legendary

Exploration and Quests
The world of Lunacia is open to explore. Quests range from main story arcs to optional side missions. Players can also gather resources like ores, herbs, and materials while traveling. Boss fights, dungeons, and puzzles are built into the environment, giving more variety to exploration.

Resources and Crafting
Resources you collect feed into a crafting system. Gear upgrades, consumables, and decorations for player housing can all be made this way. Homes are customizable spaces, allowing you to show some personality outside of combat.

Social Hubs and Guilds
Atia’s Legacy uses central town hubs where players meet, chat, and trade. Guilds play an important role in the long-term game, with features tied to group raids, wars, and resource sharing. Large-scale conflicts between guilds are expected to become part of the endgame.

NFTs and Blockchain
Atia’s Legacy will make use of existing Axie Infinity NFTs. Axies that players already own can be brought into the new game and used as part of their squads in real-time battles, exploration, and progression. Land NFTs will also have an active role, giving owners the ability to build structures, host dungeons, and generate resources that other players can interact with.
The game keeps familiar mechanics like breeding, where two Axies can be combined to create a new NFT that can be used or traded. A player marketplace will support these features, allowing Axies, Land, and other NFT-linked items to be exchanged freely between players. This approach ensures that older Axie assets remain relevant while also tying them into the MMO’s systems and future updates.
Latest Game Updates (2025)
In 2025, Axie Infinity: Atia’s Legacy moved into its first closed playtest phase. Beginning 25 September 2025 and running through 2 October 2025, the test invited selected community members to experience an early build focusing on core gameplay, progression loops and general user experience. During this test, existing Axie assets were shown as planned for integration, but the on-chain economy and full asset transfer systems were explicitly omitted for this round.
Pre-registration for the playtest closed in early July, with eligibility reserved for top community contributors, Axie NFT holders and other early-access participants. As a result, the team has been collecting feedback around foundational systems rather than competitive endgame features. Future announcements promise wider access, expanded platforms and deeper integration of player-owned assets as Atia’s Legacy progresses toward full launch.
How to Get Started
The game is not playable yet and pre-registration has recently ended. Early access is coming soon and will be followed by a full global launch on PC and mobile. Early access will only be available to selected groups, including long-time Axie Infinity players, holders of rare Axies, and invited community members who will help test the core systems such as squad combat, exploration, and progression.
For now, players can wait for the official launch announcements and follow Axie Infinity’s socials to stay updated. Once the global launch begins, the game will be available to all players worldwide.
