Apeiron is an enthralling god game x roguelike, where you embody a godling - a newborn god - summoned by the High Goddess Cosmos to join the War on the Mad God Chaos! With the aid of your dood Apostles - cute and powerful beings with a fondness for snacking - you'll explore dungeons and unravel the mysteries of the godiverse! But be cautious, as death could befall you. To ensure your success, we've crafted this comprehensive Apeiron guide!
In the current Season 2 demo, you can download the game from the official Apeiron Marketplace website after creating an account or obtain it from the Epic store.
Select your Avatar from the three Tempest Avatars available in the Season 2 demo: Fury, Fate, and Wisdom. If you're new to the godiverse, start with Fury, as it's easier to maneuver compared to the other two. Play with the Fury to become familiar with the gameplay mechanics. When you feel more confident, switch to a different class! Remember, progress is saved separately for each Avatar, so feel free to switch without losing any time.
Each Avatar begins their journey equipped with 2 skills and 3 skill slots. As the Avatar gains experience and levels up, it earns skill points, which can then be invested to enhance its abilities.
Focus on upgrading the skills up to at least level 3, then turn your attention to enhancing passive abilities. For passives, the Piercing Tempest (unlocked at Lvl 10) is a must-have, while Cloudburst (unlocked at level 20) is useful against bosses.
Once you’ve tried everything at the earlier stages and found what you like to match your playstyle, you can redistribute your skill points at any time with no cost to optimize your build even more or even try something totally different. Don’t be afraid to experiment!
One last tip is to pay attention to the mana cost. Having too many high-cost cards will make your deck harder to play (unless you have mana generating Artifacts), so be careful about where you invest your points at the later stages.
Before each battle, choose up to four Apostles to fight alongside your Avatar. Opt for Apostles with higher IVs, as they have more HP, attack speed, and deal more damage.
Pick Apostles with skills that complement your team to increase damage output. Experiment with different combinations to find what suits your strategy best. Preview your enemy's composition before battles and choose Apostles that can counter specific opponents.
Victory rewards you with XP, Soul Gems (currency for the Shop), and, most importantly, Apostles. Upgrade skills by fusing Apostles with the same skills.
Don't worry if an Apostle dies; they're replaceable, and you might even find a new one with better IVs to slot into your team.
Event rooms offer opportunities to upgrade Artifacts and modify their alignment, a unique feature found only in these rooms.
Campfires offer healing, revival of allies, and team leveling, including your Avatar. They're the most consistent way to level up, so prioritize them over Shops or Battles.
Head to Shops when gearing up for a boss fight. They sell various potions in the early levels and Apostles and Artifacts in later stages.
Equip Artifacts before battles for passive bonuses and build-around effects. Build synergies by equipping up to five Artifacts.
Bosses like Scorp the Juggernugget have two variants, each with distinct skills and attack patterns.
Use your Avatar as a decoy to divert the boss's attention away from your Apostles. Employ Hunters for DPS against bosses, while Mages are more effective against groups of enemies. Take advantage of penalty-free restarts during boss fights, but be cautious, as successive restarts make all enemies permanently stronger.
