Town Star, Gala Games' inaugural title, is a family-friendly strategic farming game that has gained significant popularity due to its gameplay and similarity to games such as Farmville. The objective of the game is to build, manage production, and use ingredients to craft goods. However, unlike other farming games, players do not need to assign characters to buildings as the game does it automatically.

Getting Started

For new players, the game is user-friendly, regardless of whether they have prior experience with farming-style strategy games. To get started, players can refer to the game controls page and choose a server to join. While all servers are eligible for play-to-earn rewards for playing NFTs, the weekly competition server offers crypto prizes.

When choosing a location for their town, players need to consider the proximity to the nearest city and the type of geographical terrain. The objective of the game is to produce and craft goods and sell them to cities for money to continue building and growing. The player who earns the most stars throughout the competition wins, with stars awarded for every sale of goods.

Apart from the competitive aspect of the game, Town Star also offers play-to-earn rewards for completing daily challenges and placing Town Star NFTs that players own. These rewards come in the form of TownCoin, the official play-to-earn token of Town Star.

Core Features

To navigate Town Star effectively, there are a few key actions and features to keep in mind. First, players can zoom in and out using the scroll function or rotate the angle of view by right-clicking and dragging. Players can also drag the screen to focus on different areas of their town. When clicking on a tile within the town's space, players should ensure that they are clicking on the base of the tile rather than a building to avoid accidentally clicking on the wrong tile.

To access the Settings menu, players can click on their account name in the top left of the screen. The Trophy icon in the upper right displays the current leaderboard, while toggling between town and world view is possible by clicking on the icon located in the bottom left corner.

For players to view their current Daily Challenge, they can click on the character icon located in the top right under the leaderboard. Completing the challenge before the countdown expires unlocks play-to-earn TownCoin rewards for the day.

To build a new structure, players must first click on a tile and then select the desired building from the Shop, which is located in the bottom right corner of the screen. If players meet the requirements and have the necessary materials, their Builder will begin construction immediately. However, keep in mind that building new structures incurs a cost.

For more information about buildings and their functions, players can refer to the Navigate Your Build page. To place owned NFTs in the game, players can click on the Gala icon above the Shop icon. This will open a menu of all Town Star NFTs in the player's possession, which can be placed at an eligible location without any in-game cost. Remember that for NFTs to earn TownCoin rewards, they must be active in the player's town at the time of claiming rewards.

Town Star NFTs

Town Star NFTs are a special type of item that can be owned by individual players and have unique features compared to in-game items. While some Town Star items can be played by anyone at any time, others are limited in supply and can be purchased as blockchain items, also known as NFTs, in the Gala Games store while supplies last. These items can be transferred between players and even outside of the game, and may have real-world value.

One of the key features of NFTs is their limited supply, which makes them highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Moreover, using NFTs in the game can earn additional rewards, which makes them valuable to players who want to maximize their earnings.

On July 19th, Town Star Play-to-Earn began a series of major economic upgrades, temporarily pausing TOWN distribution. This change, though unexpected for some, was a positive development for Town Star players and the TOWN economy.

Workers

In Town Star, your workers are the backbone of your town's success. They each have their own livelihood, corresponding to various buildings that you will construct throughout the game. The first worker you'll encounter is the Farmer, but you'll soon have access to other workers such as the Lumberjack and Rancher.

When you decide to construct another building on an available tile near a road, the Builder from the Builder House will collect and deliver the necessary materials. However, it's important to keep in mind that no worker works for free. As you hire more workers, your per-minute wage costs will increase, so be careful not to run out of money or your workers will stop working.

Crafting and Trading Goods

In Town Star, money is earned by selling goods to cities in batches of 10. The more difficult the item is to craft, the more money you'll make from selling it. However, keep in mind that selling only one type of item won't be enough to get you through to Gasoline production. It's important to develop a strategy early on.

When you're ready to sell 10 of something, click on the Trade Depot tile (with the truck) and choose a nearby city. Specify the type of good and confirm the gasoline cost. Once the Trucker returns, you'll be able to claim your money and your Stars (points)!

Always remember to plan for storage as you produce or craft goods. Crops from fields are stored in a Silo, wood in a Woodshed, water and energy in a Warehouse, and goods like eggs, flour, and salt in a Storehouse. In Town Star, minimizing travel time for your workers and maximizing efficiency is key. Pay attention to how far your workers need to travel from their homes to their respective buildings, and how often they need to tend to their tasks.

We have arrived at the end of our Town Star guide. We hope you have enjoyed it and took enough valuable information from it to get prepared to build your agriculture empire in Gala Games' title.
