Alpha Season 5 of The Sandbox is reaching its conclusion with a range of new experiences featured in The Volcano. As the season ends, players have the opportunity to complete quests, gather Experience Points (EP), and earn in-game rewards including NFTs and SAND tokens. This final week highlights collaborations with well-known partners such as Terminator: Dark Fate, Madballs, Teletubbies, and more. Players can also enter a raffle where 500 winners will receive 500 SAND, with higher EP totals increasing the chances of being selected.
To take full advantage of the season’s rewards, players are encouraged to obtain an Alpha Pass. The pass grants access to exclusive content and unlocks additional benefits on the Battle Pass. Completing quests across the available experiences before the season ends will help players earn rewards, including free and premium items depending on their progress.
The Sandbox Guide: The Volcano Week 6 Rewards
The Sandbox gained popularity through its two successful mobile games, The Sandbox (2011) and The Sandbox Evolution (2016), amassing a total of 40 million downloads on iOS and Android. In 2018, developer/Publisher Pixowl made the strategic decision to transition this thriving User Generated Content (UGC) gaming IP and its extensive creator community from mobile to the blockchain ecosystem.
The objective was to innovate the gaming industry by empowering creators with genuine ownership of their creations as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and incentivizing their engagement in the ecosystem. The Sandbox is now described as a virtual metaverse where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences on the Ethereum blockchain using the platform's utility token SAND.
Located at coordinates [70, -95], the Terminator: Dark Fate experience takes players to a dystopian future where survival depends on finding a hidden resistance base. This location includes 26 quests in total, featuring normal, premium, adventure, and hardcore challenges. Completing all available quests grants a total of 78 EP. The experience reward is the Rev 9 Head, an item that provides a 25% increase in both power and speed during gameplay.
The Madballs-themed location at [-16, 102] invites players into a polluted city where a haunted fair is being prepared. Participants are tasked with helping to manage the fair, exploring its haunted house, and confronting Skullface to keep the event on track. There are 23 quests available, which include normal, premium, and adventure types. Players can earn up to 90 EP in this experience.
At location [-180, 156], Club XYZ presents a new environment set in the jungle. Music and movement are central themes in this transformed version of the club. This setting includes 10 quests, divided into normal, premium, and adventure categories, with a total of 53 EP available. Completing this experience rewards players with the Dancing Flower Gloves, which offer a 25% boost in speed and power.
Obby World Level 2, located at [-141, -72], introduces Pioneer Rush, an experience designed for players looking to test their skills in a challenging race environment. There are 9 quests to complete, offering 40 EP in total. The quest types are mostly normal, with a single premium challenge included. Players who complete this activity receive Thor’s Tiny Toy Hammer, which enhances speed and defense by 25%.
In a colorful setting located at [27, 130], the Teletubbies experience invites players to explore unexpected twists in Teletubbyland. This playful but chaotic scenario features 13 quests, including one hardcore challenge, and provides 22 EP. The experience adds variety to the week’s offerings, combining childhood themes with light puzzle-solving and exploration mechanics.
The Elite Marathon, found at [-10, -142], represents the most difficult race in the Obby World series. This level 3 challenge is designed to test a player's speed, agility, and precision. With 16 quests in total—spanning normal, premium, adventure, and hardcore types—players can earn up to 68 EP. Completing this location grants Jacques-Jacques Pix’s Shield, which improves power and speed by 25%.
Do or Die is set in a remote jungle temple located once again at [-141, -72]. This experience includes 8 quests, mostly in the normal category, with one premium challenge. It offers a total of 32 EP. The narrative involves uncovering the mystery of a vanished scientific expedition, adding a more atmospheric tone to the week’s gameplay. Players receive John the Seeker’s Vest as a reward, which provides a 25% boost to both defense and speed.
As players accumulate EP across the various experiences, they progress through the Battle Pass, which offers structured rewards. Reaching Level 29, which requires 3445 EP, unlocks the T800 Machine Gun from the Terminator series. At Level 30, which is achieved with 4000 EP, players receive a direct reward of 20 SAND. Some of these rewards are exclusive to holders of the Alpha Pass.
With the final week underway, players are reminded to complete all available quests and claim their rewards before Alpha Season 5 ends. Each EP gained not only helps in advancing through the Battle Pass but also increases the chance of being selected in the 500 SAND raffle. The season’s conclusion marks another chapter in The Sandbox’s evolving ecosystem, with a variety of partner experiences contributing to its presence in the broader blockchain space. Players interested in future developments are encouraged to stay updated, as more experiences and opportunities are expected in upcoming seasons.
