Gameplay and Features
The Haus
The Haus system in STEPN GO is a social and collaborative feature that allows users to lend their Sneakers and share Energy with others. As a Host, you can invite up to five Guests, providing them with Energy and Sneakers to help them get started. Every 10 Energy used by a Host enables them to generate a new Activation Code for lending additional Sneakers.
You can also share Energy through the Gift Bag System, which allows users to share their sneakers and energy to introduce new people to STEPN GO. The Haus also includes a Guest Management System and customizable options for earning split percentages and duration, giving Hosts full control over how they manage their Haus.
Customizable Avatar
In STEPN GO, users can personalize their 3D Avatar to reflect their unique style. Equip your avatar with a variety of Outfits to make your avatar stand out on the Interactive Map and at The MoonBase. Outfits consist of several pieces, such as head, body, and foot items, and can be crafted using Outfit Fragments. While Common Outfits can be crafted for free, Rare and Legendary Outfits require GGT and offer special visual effects like a silver or golden aura. As you earn Outfit Fragments by staying active, you can unlock new pieces to complete your outfit set and trade them in the marketplace.
Energy & Overheat System
Energy plays a key role in STEPN GO. You’ll need to manage your Energy to keep earning rewards. To acquire Energy, you’ll burn sneakers, and you’ll have a daily Energy cap that resets every 12 hours. If you use more Energy than you’re allowed, your sneakers will go into “Overheat” status and won’t be able to earn for a while.
- Energy System: Burn sneakers to gain Energy and boost your daily cap.
- Overheat: Exceeding your cap will put your sneakers in Overheat, stopping them from earning until the cap resets.
Fitness System & Rewards
The app tracks your fitness over a 14-day cycle, rewarding active users with better earnings. As you progress through the fitness journey, you’ll experience different stages: from “Soft Feet” (100% earnings) to “Sore Feet” (50% to 150% earnings), and eventually “Strong Feet” (150% earnings). These stages are designed to encourage users to stay active and maintain consistency.
- Quests: Special one-off events that earn you rewards, such as crafting outfits or burning sneakers for Energy.
- Achievement System: Earn badges and achievements for completing specific tasks and challenges.
Sneaker Minting and Shoe Box
Minting allows you to create new sneakers by combining two existing ones. When you mint, the result is a "Shoe Box" that holds the newly created sneaker, with its quality determined by the sneakers used in the minting process. Opening the Shoe Box reveals your new sneaker, and while minting costs GGT and has a cooldown period, there’s always a chance for extra rewards with each attempt, making it a potentially rewarding process.
NFTs and Blockchain
STEPN GO introduces NFT Sneakers, which come in various Types and Qualities, offering players a unique way to earn rewards through their physical activity. There are four Types of Sneakers: Walker, Jogger, Runner, and Trainer, each with its own optimal speed range. Staying within the recommended speed for each Type allows users to maximize their earnings, making the right choice of sneaker essential for increasing in-game rewards.
The game also features five different Sneaker Qualities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Higher-quality Sneakers unlock higher maximum levels and provide more Attribute points. While Common Sneakers are limited to earning GGT, Uncommon and higher-quality Sneakers allow players to earn rewards from four key Attributes: Efficiency, Luck, Charm, and Karma. The better the quality of your sneaker, the greater the potential for earning across various in-game systems, enhancing both gameplay and earning opportunities.
