Overview

Resurgence is a free-to-play, open-world game set in a post-apocalyptic future, inviting players to explore, survive, and craft in a reborn Earth. The game integrates Web 3 technology, offering players true digital ownership of in-game assets through blockchain and NFTs. 

Game Lore

A millennium after an ecological catastrophe, Earth has transformed. Players emerge from cryogenic sleep into a world filled with danger and opportunity. This new Earth is rich in resources but filled with obstacles, including toxic elements and mutated creatures. The remnants of human civilization are suspicious of survivors, creating a complex dynamic as players navigate this new world. Resurgence's lore is deepened through an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) called "The End," which introduces key characters and settings, enriching the game's backstory and engaging players even before the game's full launch.

Gameplay and Features

Players are thrust into a vast, open world where survival relies on navigating through dangerous terrains and battling evolved creatures. Exploration is crucial for uncovering resources and secrets that are key to survival.

Crafting is another core part of Resurgence gameplay, with players gathering resources to create tools, weapons, and other survival items. The game encourages exploration to find these resources, adding depth and challenge to the survival experience.

Resurgence offers extensive avatar customization, allowing players to create unique in-game representations. The game uses generative AI to enable a wide range of personalization options, enhancing the social and immersive aspects of the game.

A unique feature is the companion drone that assists players in exploration, defense, and investigation. The drone's personality and capabilities evolve alongside the player, thanks to generative AI technology. The game emphasizes community engagement, with players joining factions that align with their values and goals. This system fosters a sense of belonging and influences the game's development through player feedback.

NFTs and Blockchain

NFTs in Resurgence enhance the gaming experience without being mandatory for gameplay. The Genesis NFT drop introduces Genesis Cryotags, (also called Gen 0 Cryotags) which serve multiple purposes, including but not limited to:

• Genesis Cryotags unlock special utilities and enhancements within the game.
• Holders are whitelisted for future sales, ensuring early or exclusive access to upcoming releases.
• Ownership of a Genesis Cryotag makes players eligible for future airdrops, including tokens and additional NFTs.
• Beyond digital advantages, these NFTs grant access to real-life benefits such as exclusive merchandise and entry to IRL events.

How to Get Started 

Resurgence, currently in its early development stage, allows holders of Genesis Cryotag collection to "freeze" their NFTs, effectively staking them to earn points known as Virtues. These points are crucial within the game's ecosystem, offering exclusive access to in-game items, upgrades, and early gameplay features. As players progress through different tiers by freezing their Cryotags, they unlock the ability to accumulate more Virtues, alongside one-time bonuses for reaching new levels.
