Ragnarok Libre revolves around a mix of idle progression and social RPG elements. Characters gain strength primarily through hunting monsters, completing quests, and upgrading their gear. The game’s auto‑hunting system allows players to farm monsters, collect Zeny, and gather crafting materials even while not actively playing. Manual control is still valuable in situations like PvP battles, co‑op boss fights, and advanced dungeons where timing and preparation can make a difference.

Character progression follows the familiar Ragnarok job ladder. Starting as a Novice, players unlock their first job at level 5 and continue through second, third, and fourth job advancements as they gain experience.
