A core aspect of Pixels is the gathering of resources. As players delve deeper into the game, they are faced with decisions regarding which industries to develop. The quest for resources takes players on a journey across the Pixels Universe, often in search of that elusive final resource needed to complete a recipe.

Progression in Pixels is multifaceted. Players can unlock specific recipes or blueprints by progressing in-game, attending events, or simply by being fortunate. These recipes and blueprints serve as significant unlocks, enhancing various gameplay aspects.

Land ownership in Pixels offers a plethora of customization options. Landowners have access to specialized industries for their farms, with the flexibility to change and level up industries without losing progress. The value of the land NFT increases as landowners work on it, industrialize, automate, and decorate it. The number of active industries a land can accommodate is determined by its size.

All industries are available to owned land, with some being unique to it. The land's value is enhanced by the activities carried out on it, such as working, industrializing, and decorating. The number of active industries is limited by the land's size, but there's no overall limit. Industries can be mothballed and replaced as long as the land size permits.

The game introduces the concept of sharecroppers. Given that there might be more non-land owning players than landowners, multiple sharecroppers can establish a relationship with a single landowner's industry.
