Onchain Heroes is finally live, following the sold-out mint of Genesis Heroes NFTs. This fully onchain idle RPG is built on Abstract Chain where players battle, earn rewards, and fight for leaderboard dominance. With the game now live, its P2E mechanics open up opportunities to collect $HERO through strategic gameplay. To help you get started, GAM3S.GG has put together this guide to break down everything you need to know. Let’s dive in!
$HERO is the backbone of Onchain Heroes’ economy. In the current version of the game it is used to train, level up, and participate in battles. Whether you're looking to grow stronger or compete for leaderboard rewards, $HERO is key to progression.
You earn $HERO by sending your heroes into battle through the Portal. But there is a catch. Once a hero enters battle, they are locked in for 6 hours before they can return home. Using the portal too frequently could harm your hero’s health, so time your battles wisely.
Leveling up is the core progression system in Season 1, and it happens in the Train Center. Before leveling up, a hero must complete at least one battle. Once eligible, you can choose from three different trainers, each with their own risk-reward system.
Heroes start at level 1 and can be trained up to a maximum level of 69. Training comes at a cost, requiring 24 hours' worth of $HERO earnings at your hero's current level. After each training attempt, heroes must rest for 12 hours before they can train again. The outcome of training is determined by proof of play randomness, adding an element of chance to each session.
If you're starting with a level 1 hero, the best move is to use the Chaos Trainer for your first level-up. Since you can't go below level 1, there’s no downside. After that, switch to the Normal Trainer for steady and consistent progress as it gives you a guaranteed +1 level. This will help you reach level 10 efficiently without wasting $HERO on risky training attempts.
To optimize leveling, take advantage of the 24-hour training cycle. Heroes can level up using only the $HERO they earn in battles, so maintaining a daily training routine is key. Since there is a 12-hour cooldown between training attempts, keeping a consistent schedule will help you progress faster and gain an edge over other players.
Level 10 heroes tend to hold much more value compared to lower-level ones. Not only do they require a significant amount of $HERO to reach that stage, but the training cooldown also makes it time-consuming. Because of this, level 10 heroes often fetch a higher price in the marketplace, making them a strong investment for players looking to trade.
Another important strategy is to consider leaderboard rewards when spending $HERO. At the end of Season 1, 50% of all $HERO spent will be redistributed based on player rankings. This means that every $HERO used for training isn’t just an expense, but a potential investment that could earn you a portion of the leaderboard rewards back.
And that’s a wrap on our quick guide to earning $HERO! Onchain Heroes is just getting started, and there’s a lot more content and earning potential on the way. We’ll be here to cover all the latest updates and strategies, so stay tuned for more guides. Huge thanks to Crocy.eth for putting this together. See you on the battlefield, Hero!
