ZTX, a prominent player in the virtual world and creator platform, has successfully raised $13 million in seed funding for its ambitious Web3 project. This fundraising reflects strong investor confidence in ZTX's potential within the rapidly growing web3 space.

One of the defining attributes of ZTX is its legacy with Web2 business Zepeto, which boasts over 400 million lifetime users. Zepeto's achievement of becoming the fourth largest metaverse platform globally, following industry giants like Roblox, Fortnite, and Minecraft, contributes significantly to ZTX's appeal. Moreover, ZTX has forged strategic partnerships with high-profile brands such as Gucci, Starbucks, and the K-Pop girl group Blackpink.

The investment round was led by Jump Crypto and saw participation from other noteworthy investors, including Collab+Currency, Parataxis, MZ Web3 Fund, Everest Ventures Group, and more.

The team at ZTX, comprising seasoned professionals from renowned companies like Apple, Roblox, Epic, EA, and experts from web3 ecosystems such as Cosmos, Flow, and Solana, has plans to leverage its extensive resources. The objective is to foster the adoption of web3 technology among global audiences. Co-CEO of ZTX, Chris Jang, expressed excitement about the fundraising round, emphasizing the shared commitment between investors and the team to provide an infrastructure layer to creators.

ZTX's unique proposition has also received accolades from Yuki Kanayama, a general partner at MZ Web3 Fund, and Stephen MKeon, a partner at Collab+Currency. They praised ZTX's potential to innovate a distinctive metaverse project, highlighting its creator-focused tooling and unique integration of digital asset creation with web3 technology.

Established in 2022, ZTX is a collaborative venture between Jump Crypto and Zepeto. Over the past year, the company has actively developed its ecosystem, recently introducing a private beta test of its upcoming 3D open-world platform called Playtest. Furthermore, ZTX has partnered with Dust Labs to launch ZTX Partner Wearables, enabling IP partners to create 3D assets for the open-world environment.

ZTX's near-future plans include the launch of its Genesis Home Mint, which will offer a collection of 4,000 unique 3D District Homes. These homes' holders will gain benefits like membership in one of the four Districts (Arts, Financial, Fashion, Games), special access to future drops and events, and enhanced gameplay within ZTX.

The $13 million seed funding is a significant milestone for ZTX, reinforcing its position as a noteworthy player in the web3 and virtual world space. The company's innovative vision, backed by influential partnerships and a skilled team, signals a promising future in the evolving world of web3 technology and digital creativity.
