Why Latin America?

The gaming industry in Latin America is experiencing notable growth, driven by the region's youthful population and increasing internet connectivity. In 2023, the gaming market in LATAM reached $3.6 billion, up from $2.23 billion in 2018. Mexico leads the market, followed by Brazil, with a significant focus on mobile gaming. Mobile gaming revenue is projected to grow from $2.67 billion in 2023 to $4.31 billion by 2028.

The region’s gaming market is characterized by a preference for free-to-play models and mobile gaming, driven by the high cost of consoles and games and the widespread use of smartphones. Despite challenges such as economic volatility and infrastructure limitations, Latin America hosts a growing number of gaming studios and publishers, with Brazil being a standout in both the number of gamers and revenue generated.

Sequence Expands Global Presence with Xerial

Sequence, already serving game developers across North America, EMEA, and APAC, will now extend its reach into LATAM. The addition of the core Xerial team will enable Sequence to provide comprehensive support to Spanish-speaking developers and enhance its web3 infrastructure offerings.

This expansion is aligned with the increasing demand for Sequence’s solutions, which address key challenges in player acquisition, retention, and monetization. Michael Sanders, Co-founder and Chief Storyteller at Sequence, praised Xerial’s contributions to the gaming community.

“Xerial is incredibly well regarded amongst game developers. The team there has built amazing relationships with builders and delivered world-class support, all in the name of helping games get to market faster and achieve success earlier.
