In a significant collaboration, Futureverse, known for metaverse and AI technology, has teamed up with Ready Player One creators to introduce Readyverse Studios. The collaboration involves Futureverse co-founders Shara Senderoff and Aaron McDonald, Ready Player One creator Ernest Cline, and film producer Dan Farah.

Readyverse Studios aims to redefine the digital landscape by introducing major intellectual properties (IPs) to the metaverse. The platform will offer interconnected digital experiences across web3, games, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) technologies.

Securing its first exclusive IP deal, Readyverse Studios brings the Ready Player One franchise into the metaverse through web3. Senderoff and McDonald expressed optimism, stating, "This marks the beginning of our collaboration with both Hollywood and global brands."

The Readyverse project seeks to materialize the open metaverse concept from Ernest Cline's novel Ready Player One. Utilizing Futureverse's technology stack, this decentralized multi-world experience prioritizes interoperability, digital ownership, and community-owned infrastructure. Exclusive access to Cline's future intellectual properties further strengthens Readyverse Studios as a pioneering force in the metaverse.

Ernest Cline, creator of Ready Player One, shared his perspective, stating, "With Readyverse Studios, we have the opportunity to leverage the technology Futureverse has been building for several years."

The venture aligns with the vision from Cline's novel, bringing together a collective effort to lead the future into a new chapter. Cline added, "A future that would make Wade Watts and James Halliday proud."

Josh Hackbarth, SVP Franchise Development at Warner Bros. Discovery, also expressed excitement about the collaboration. "Ready Player One has become a cultural touchstone, inspiring technology innovators, creators, and visionaries," he said. "We're partnering with Readyverse Studios to introduce these characters, environments, and more to the metaverse across web3."

In other relevant recent news, Futureverse unveiled the Futureverse Base Camp Accelerator Program in partnership with Outlier Ventures. This announcement comes after Futureverse secured $54 million to create an open metaverse ecosystem, led by 10T Holdings, in July of last year.

The collaboration between Futureverse, Ready Player One creators, and Warner Bros. Discovery to establish Readyverse Studios is a significant step for web3. Readyverse Studios not only brings iconic franchises into web3 but also shapes a collaborative and inclusive digital future. With the combined expertise of technology innovators and entertainment giants, it paves the way for an immersive and shared web3 experience.
