Treeverse shares its July 2025 development update, featuring the launch of $END, new game systems, and ongoing progress toward the Beta release. Read more on the latest from Endless Clouds.
The forty-third edition of the Treeverse monthly update provides an overview of continued development progress and introduces a key milestone with the upcoming launch of $END, a new digital trading currency by the Endless Clouds Foundation. This update reflects the team's commitment to consistent communication as the project advances toward its Beta phase.

This month marks the announcement of $END, a premium currency developed by the Endless Clouds Foundation, intended to play a central role in Treeverse’s in-game economy. The foundation has successfully raised $6.25 million from a group of notable investors, including experienced founders, traders, and well-known content creators. This funding round signals a strong vote of confidence in both the game and its underlying ecosystem.
$END will be deployed on Ethereum Layer 1 with a total token supply of 500 million and will feature a bridge to zkEVM to enable scalability. At launch, 31.1 percent of the token supply will be in circulation. The distribution strategy is focused on community involvement, beginning with a 17.5 percent airdrop to holders included in NFT Snapshots 1 and 2.76 percent allocated to Season 1 players at the time of the Token Generation Event (TGE). The TGE is expected in the coming days, with detailed updates available on the EndlessCFDN social channels and Discord server. A whitepaper has also been released for those looking to understand the broader utility of the token within the Treeverse ecosystem.

Visual improvements continue to play an important role in the development of Treeverse. The art team has contributed to the liveliness of Lorwick, a key in-game location, through the addition of non-player characters, animations, and environmental details. This focus on environmental design aims to make the world feel more dynamic and interactive for players.
In addition to world-building efforts, the team collaborated with Pluid to release a video summarizing Treeverse’s development journey to date. This production is available to view in high definition on YouTube and offers a visual perspective on the project’s growth.

The design team has been preparing documentation for upcoming game features while also adding new content tied to completed engineering work. Hundreds of new items have been introduced, and design frameworks for combat mechanics have been refined using internal prototypes. Once confirmed, these designs are transferred to engineers for implementation.
Work has also progressed on game systems such as talent trees, which are being configured using spreadsheet data in preparation for their Beta release version. Early-stage planning has started for several auxiliary systems, including player profiles, banking, storage, and cosmetics. These are currently being tested using placeholder user interfaces until more polished UI assets are available. Research is also ongoing into integrating the Timeless collection in-game and implementing features such as capes on selected upper-body equipment.

The engineering team has increased its pace significantly, resulting in the completion of multiple core systems required for the Beta version of Treeverse. With more engineers on board, individual developers are able to spend more time on completing and refining features, which has led to noticeable improvements in development velocity. This increase in output also means a greater focus on code reviews and quality assurance.
Several improvements have been made to foundational systems. Talent tree functionality has been expanded, and various bugs related to source generation have been addressed. AI behavior has been improved with the addition of patrol support and initial work on monster states. Quest development has also evolved with support for client-side features, revamped authoring systems, and integration of server-side components such as task initiation and saving. Additional tools have been added to improve the quest creation process for designers.

Combat systems are receiving attention as well, with support added for charged abilities, split animations, and the ability to move while attacking. A custom emote system has been implemented, along with reusable animations and a toolbar for quicker access. Client-side tweening and editor previews for interactive animations have also been introduced. Color visual adjustments have been made as part of an effort to refine user experience.
On the infrastructure side, the engineering team has moved away from Redis in favor of a single database solution. Key system processes such as startup, heartbeat, and shutdown have been migrated accordingly. JWT authentication is being introduced for login systems. Additional work includes debugging tools, camera stability fixes, removal of outdated code, and ongoing maintenance related to build issues. Unity-related bugs have also been reported as part of this process.

As Treeverse moves into the second half of 2025, the development team is focused on solidifying the foundation of the game. The goal is to finalize the core features and mechanics that will define the Beta version of Treeverse. Once these systems are complete, development will gradually shift toward producing additional content rather than building new auxiliary features.
The team aims to reach a polished, stable version of the game, prioritizing quality and performance. The current momentum and productivity levels suggest that upcoming months will be critical in achieving this goal. With the Beta release on the horizon, players and supporters can expect to see significant progress reflected in both gameplay and system functionality.
