Treasure DAO, a longstanding player in the web3 gaming space and the organization behind the $MAGIC token, has announced a new strategic direction through the release of its latest roadmap. Shared on April 15 via the project’s official X account, the roadmap outlines a shift toward deeper integration of artificial intelligence and autonomous agents, along with expanded world-building efforts across its existing game universes. The update highlights four core initiatives: the AI Agent Marketplace, Smolworld, Canopy, and new infrastructure for scaling AI-powered agents within the ecosystem.
Treasure DAO Introduces AI Agent Marketplace
This development follows a major leadership change at Treasure, as Karel Vuong, recently announced his departure. In a statement shared on social media, Vuong reflected on his three-year journey with Treasure, expressing pride in the progress made but acknowledging differences in vision between himself and the project’s original founder, John Patten.
Vuong mentioned that, while Treasure has gone through market cycles before, the project is now at a pivotal moment as it restructures for future growth. He explained that reducing the size of the core team was a necessary step to ensure that Treasure remains agile and well-positioned for 2025 and beyond. Despite stepping away from his leadership role, Vuong affirmed that he will continue to support the ecosystem as a strategic advisor.
Following Vuong’s departure, John Patten has resumed leadership of Treasure. As the project’s original founder, Patten was instrumental in Treasure’s early development, including key initiatives such as the MAGIC token launch and the introduction of its flagship game, Bridgeworld. Treasure has stated that it remains committed to building a connected gaming universe while adjusting its approach to better align with future opportunities in web3 gaming.
Treasure DAO Introduces AI Agent Marketplace
One of the central components of Treasure’s updated strategy is the introduction of AI agents—autonomous digital characters that are designed to interact across web3 platforms, including games, decentralized finance tools, and social media. These agents are supported by a system called Neurochimp, a proprietary framework developed to create AI-driven companions with persistent memory, personality traits, and contextual awareness. Unlike static NFTs or profile pictures, these agents will be active participants capable of evolving through both user interaction and on-chain behavior.
According to Treasure DAO, the agents will be tradable via a dedicated AI Agent Marketplace. This marketplace will allow users to create, buy, and sell agents, with key attributes such as skills, memories, and reputation serving as core differentiators. This model is intended to support a wide range of use cases, from gameplay assistance to community engagement, with all transactions and upgrades powered by the $MAGIC token.
Smolworld Key Art
The roadmap also includes the launch of Smolworld, a new project based on the existing Smolverse intellectual property. Smolworld is designed as a simulation-based environment where AI agents, known as Smols, operate as independent digital entities. Described by Treasure as a “Tamagotchi for AI agents,” Smolworld enables these characters to make decisions, form relationships, and participate in on-chain activities without direct user control.
Smols will be tied to real crypto wallets and governed by encoded wills, allowing them to trade, explore, and grow within their environment. Communication with human users will occur through both text and voice, creating a hybrid interactive experience. Production of Smolworld is already underway, and the project is expected to enter its demo phase later this year.
Treasure x Gigaverse
In addition to AI-focused developments, Treasure has announced Canopy, a new mode within the existing Bridgeworld game. Canopy introduces a more strategic gameplay layer that includes land control, collaborative alliances, and player-driven conflict. This marks a shift in Bridgeworld’s model, incorporating higher-stakes interactions that directly impact the distribution of in-game resources and global narrative developments.
The addition of Canopy is positioned as an extension of Bridgeworld’s fantasy-lore foundation, with a focus on persistent multiplayer dynamics. Players will engage in coordinated campaigns, uncover secrets, and shape the direction of the game world through on-chain actions. The development of Canopy is currently in progress, with more details expected through the official Bridgeworld portal.
Treasure DAO Introduces AI Agent Marketplace
Treasure’s new AI Agent Marketplace diverges from typical NFT platforms by emphasizing functionality and utility over visual representation. Each agent in the marketplace is treated as a dynamic, evolving entity rather than a static collectible. The platform will also function as a launchpad for creators and developers, enabling the deployment of new agent types and the integration of additional features.
The system is being built with composability in mind, allowing for agents to be adapted and used across multiple applications within the Treasure ecosystem. The marketplace will rely on $MAGIC for transactions, upgrades, and operational costs, reinforcing the token’s central role in the broader economic framework.
Treasure DAO’s updated roadmap marks a significant expansion of its web3 ecosystem through the introduction of AI agents, simulation-driven environments, and enhanced gameplay modes. By integrating autonomous digital characters and expanding its existing intellectual properties, Treasure aims to position itself at the intersection of artificial intelligence and blockchain-based gaming. With $MAGIC at the core of this ecosystem, the project seeks to create a more interactive and functional experience for both players and developers.
