Blocktorch stands out for its comprehensive approach to web3 observability. It provides a full suite of tools for developing, monitoring, and optimizing dApps, enabling engineering teams to maintain top-tier user experiences even under rapid scaling. By joining forces, both companies aim to create best-in-class development tools and provide superior solutions to their customers.
For developers, this means significant relief from the labor-intensive tasks of data analysis and error diagnosis in decentralized applications and games. Blocktorch’s platform simplifies these processes, allowing developers to proactively monitor the performance and health of their dApps, thereby reducing the mean time to recovery during incidents.
Blocktorch Overview
With the integration of Blocktorch, thirdweb aims to simplify the complexities of dApp development. Blocktorch’s robust platform allows developers to effectively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize decentralized applications. This alignment of missions promises to accelerate thirdweb’s roadmap, particularly in the areas of RPC and indexer products.
Gery Pollak, Business Development Lead at thirdweb and former CEO of Blocktorch, expressed enthusiasm about the merger. “Thirdweb's powerful full-stack platform makes it possible to build seamless web3 apps without dealing with the complexities of a fragmented architecture stack. We share the mission of providing a better developer experience to expand the potential of blockchain technology and are excited to enable the builders of the next generation of apps together now,” Pollak stated.
Blocktorch Acquired by thirdweb
In addition to the acquisition, thirdweb is welcoming four key members from Blocktorch to its team. Gery Pollak will take on the role of Business Development Lead, Amine Afia will serve as Engineering Lead, and Toomas Oosalu and Arsenii Poriadin will join as Software Engineers. This expansion underscores thirdweb's commitment to engineering excellence and its mission to accelerate web3 adoption.
Jake Loo, CTO and Co-Founder of thirdweb, emphasized the importance of this acquisition. “Our team shares many values when it comes to building high-quality developer tools at a fast pace. We are obsessed with simplifying web3 development for developers to build onchain, and believe that combining forces with the Blocktorch team will accelerate our mission and raise the bar for the industry,” Loo remarked.
New Team Members
As thirdweb continues to integrate Blocktorch’s capabilities, the enhanced development stack is expected to power thousands of household brands, creator platforms, on-chain games, and decentralized social networks. This acquisition marks a significant step towards simplifying and advancing web3 development, fostering innovation, and expanding the potential of blockchain technology.
