Tatsu Works, the Singapore-based game studio, has announced the release of their upcoming life simulation RPG, Tatsumeeko, on the Ronin blockchain, set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024. The decision to migrate the game to Ronin, an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-based blockchain, marks a notable step for Tatsu Works as they prepare to merge the worlds of web2 and web3 gaming.
David Lim, CEO and Founder of Tatsu Works, shared his enthusiasm: “Our goal is to unify web2 and web3 gaming by allowing our massive Discord community to explore the potential of blockchain technology through our life simulation RPG. We believe Tatsumeeko and Ronin together offer the perfect platform for this.”

Tatsumeeko, a free-to-play (F2P) game, will be available on both mobile and PC platforms. The game, which was initially in development on Immutable X (IMX) and Solana, introduces players to a rich, modern fantasy world featuring 2.5D environments and a robust "Arcana" system. This system offers millions of unique combat combinations, blending turn-based auto-combat with housing gameplay to create a deeply immersive experience.
Founded in 2016, Tatsu Works is best known for its Discord-based platform Tatsu.GG, which has successfully integrated gamification features within Discord communities. The platform includes idle RPG elements that allow users to collect and trade resources, and it currently serves over 1.5 million Discord communities with 60 million lifetime users.
Building on this success, Tatsu Works is expanding its vision with Tatsumeeko, a full-scale role-playing game that offers social immersion alongside traditional RPG elements. The studio's development team includes industry veterans from major AAA companies such as Square Enix, Koei Tecmo, Tencent, and Toei Animation. The team’s combined experience spans high-profile titles like Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, Dissidia Final Fantasy, and Brave Frontier, which influences Tatsumeeko's ambitious design.

Ronin, developed by Sky Mavis—the creator of the widely successful web3 game Axie Infinity—was selected as the blockchain for Tatsumeeko’s launch. Ronin has a proven track record of scaling gaming platforms, with more than $4 billion in NFT transaction volume and the ability to accommodate millions of daily users. It is optimized for near-instant transactions with low fees, making it an ideal platform for games that involve frequent in-game transactions, such as Tatsumeeko.
Sky Mavis CEO and Co-Founder, Trung Nguyen, expressed excitement about the partnership: “We’re thrilled to welcome the first life simulation RPG to the Ronin ecosystem, adding a fresh genre for our growing community. Tatsumeeko’s large and passionate Discord following reminds us a lot of what we saw with Axie Infinity in its early days, which we believe is a strong indicator of their potential for success on Ronin."

As part of its expansion strategy, Tatsu Works is releasing Lumina Hunt, a lite RPG game on Telegram, ahead of the full launch of Tatsumeeko. Lumina Hunt is set to debut this month and will feature a point system where players collect “Vabloons” by contributing to an in-game organization known as V-Squad.
Players with high participation will be rewarded with tokens at the time of the Token Launch, as well as essential items and currencies that will provide a boost when Tatsumeeko: Lumina Fates—the main game—enters open beta at the end of 2024. By engaging in Lumina Hunt, players can gain early advantages for Tatsumeeko, increasing excitement around the game's launch while expanding Tatsu Works' presence on multiple platforms.
Tatsumeeko Creatures
With the upcoming launch of Tatsumeeko, Tatsu Works continues to push the boundaries of gaming by blending the traditional RPG experience with modern blockchain technology. The choice to host the game on Ronin, a blockchain tailored for gaming, highlights the studio’s commitment to scalability and user experience.
By expanding onto platforms like Telegram with Lumina Hunt, Tatsu Works is also reaching a broader audience and creating new opportunities for community engagement. This dual strategy of harnessing the power of Discord and integrating with emerging blockchain ecosystems could position Tatsumeeko as a notable title in the evolving web3 gaming landscape.
