The inaugural Arena of Faith (AOF) LAN tournament concluded on November 19, 2024, as part of the YGG Play Summit, with SylphyT1 from Sylphy Academy taking the championship title. The winning team, part of Yield Guild Games (YGG)’s guild network, secured US$4,000 in USDT from the US$10,000 total prize pool. SylphyT1's lineup included players Syl, Stephy, Lrdgrim, Fer, and Pelfi.

Reflecting on the victory, team captain Syl expressed, “The tournament experience was amazing, but we came in as the favorites, so there was a lot of pressure and expectations for us to perform. We see this win as the start of our journey to dominate web3 esports across all genres and be the best esports community in the Philippines.”

About Arena of Faith

Arena of Faith, developed by Super Esports and Vortex Labs, is a blockchain-integrated multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game. It features traditional MOBA gameplay alongside blockchain-based innovations, such as NFT staking, on-chain modifications, and tournament hosting. The game has backing from notable investors, including Tencent, Animoca Brands, and Yield Guild Games.

During the YGG Play Summit, Ariel Edria, Arena of Faith's Business Development Manager, presented Sylphy Academy as the tournament champion. The AOF competition was held alongside another tournament featuring Animoca Brands’ Anichess, a chess-based strategy game. In that event, johnfdong outperformed seven other competitors to secure the title.

YGG Play Summit x GAM3 Awards

The YGG Play Summit was a five-day event that explored the growing popularity of web3 gaming. Beyond esports, the summit includes a hackathon, a conference, and a game expo showcasing 30 web3 projects. Attendees also witnessed our first in-person GAM3 Awards, a grand celebration of blockchain gaming.

The summit featured a range of tournaments, including the battle royale Indus on November 20 and a high-stakes US$100,000 invitational for the trading card game Parallel on November 21.
