Super Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Nintendo is set to release Super Mario Bros.™ Wonder – Nintendo Switch™ 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park on March 26, introducing new areas, multiplayer modes, and additional content for Nintendo Switch 2 owners. The update focuses on cooperative and competitive gameplay, while also providing enhancements for solo players exploring the Flower Kingdom.

Bellabel Park Offers New Multiplayer Spaces

The new Bellabel Park area serves as a hub for multiplayer activity, featuring two large plazas filled with attractions. Players can participate in challenges such as Fast Cash: Tip Tap’s Coin Spree, where the goal is to collect as many coins as possible, or Knock ‘em Back: Bubble Blaster, which tests survival skills against other players. The Local Multiplayer Plaza allows up to four players on the same system to explore 17 attractions, and GameShare functionality lets one player share the game locally with up to three others. For online or local wireless play, Game Room Plaza accommodates up to 12 players, each on their own system, across six additional attractions.

Training and Assistance for Players of All Levels

The update introduces the Toad Brigade Training Camp, a series of courses that test player skill and provide challenges from across the Flower Kingdom. Players can attempt these solo or team up with up to three others to complete objectives and climb the Toad Brigade rankings. Assist Mode is also available, offering support for new players by allowing quick recovery from falls and preventing damage during gameplay, making the courses more accessible without altering the core experience.

New Characters and Challenges

Rosalina joins the Flower Kingdom for the first time in this edition, accompanied by Co-Star Luma, who can assist in cooperative play by spinning to defeat enemies and collect coins. Luma can also be controlled using Nintendo Switch 2’s mouse functionality in multiplayer sessions. The update also brings back the Koopalings, whose theft of hidden treasure in Bellabel Park triggers new course-based challenges. Players must locate and engage these enemies in specialized stages to recover the stolen treasure.

Upgrade Options and Amiibo Support

Players who already own Super Mario Bros. Wonder on Nintendo Switch 2 can access the new content through a $19.99 upgrade pack available for pre-order on My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop. Alongside the game, Nintendo is releasing three new amiibo: Elephant Mario, Poplin & Prince Florian, and Captain Toad & Talking Flower. The Talking Flower accessory, launching March 12, interacts with users by speaking, providing time-based greetings, and responding to temperature changes, offering a companion experience outside the game.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park delivers expanded multiplayer options, new attractions, and additional content for fans of the series, giving both solo and cooperative players more ways to experience the Flower Kingdom.
