The recent Star Atlas patch to ship configurations, termed V2, brings a comprehensive set of updates and improvements. It aims to address various facets of ship design, alignment with the game's lore, and functional enhancements. The recent V2 patch ensures that the ships in Star Atlas are in line with the V2 rule sets, providing a more consistent experience across the game. In addition, adjustments have been made to the Crew, Components, and Mods across all ships, ensuring that they are standardized and orderly.

The patch reflects the latest work in Unreal Engine 5, with ship dimensions being updated accordingly. Additionally, specific ships like Pearce F4 and Pearce X4 have seen the implementation of a Cargo module to be more aligned with their description. Other minor module tweaks were also part of this update. Various weapon adjustments have been implemented, including modifications to the Calico Guardian, VZUS Ballad, Pearce T1, and Fimbul BYOS Tankship. Moreover, the patch brings about consistency in Bombers by standardizing bomb bay packages and reducing fixed weapons.

In an effort to enhance functionality, Utility Rigs have been added to several ships that were missing them. Additionally, previously missing crew members, such as Janitors, have been included in various ships, further enriching the game's authenticity. Minor adjustments to descriptions of specific ships have been made, enhancing clarity and precision. Drone ports across all ships have been adjusted for correct class and quantity. A new addition to the patch is the inclusion of stealth in the MFG bonus table for VZUS.

Lastly, the patch addressed specific details such as the correction of the VZUS opod and VZUS ambwe, which no longer sport undersized heat sinks. This change exemplifies the meticulous attention to detail in the patch.
