Spider Tanks Arena, the Gala Games' tank brawler, recently unveiled its latest updates under Patch 1.4. Significant enhancements were rolled out, primarily focusing on user experience and gameplay mechanics. Key upgrades include:

  • Drop Pods v2 Enhancements: The latest update brings a slew of enhancements to the Drop Pods. Captains are now endowed with greater flexibility, thanks to the new redeployment options. A notable addition is the "unpack" feature, ensuring that tanks remain securely within the Drop Pod post-use. They will only be released when the captain manually unpacks them. Furthermore, the introduction of the "unlock" option facilitates the immediate return of tanks, albeit at a specific Arachnium cost.
  • Play & Earn (P&E) View Enhancements: Players navigating the P&E menu will now be greeted with a more detailed display of user statistics. This includes real-time data such as the current market price of SILK and the recent VP/SILK ratio. Although this feature is undergoing maintenance, players can still access detailed statistics for individual items, encompassing weapons and maps.
  • Report v2 Feature Overhaul: The game's reporting mechanism has undergone a significant revamp. Players are now equipped with the capability to mute and report simultaneously, specifically targeting communication abuse. Instead of game bans, the penalty for such offenses has been transitioned to global mutes. To ensure fair play, each player is granted three reports daily, with incentives provided for successful reports.
  • Killfeed v2 Updates: The visual appeal and functionality of the in-game Killfeed UI have been enhanced. Players can now receive notifications for various in-game events, including player dominations, revenge actions, the first blood, and impressive multikills.
  • Introduction of Freecam: One of the standout features in this update is the Freecam. This tool transforms the spectator experience in Exhibition matches. Viewers can now maneuver their camera freely, ensuring a richer and more immersive viewing experience.
  • Decision on Hidden Ranks: In a move to amplify player enjoyment and strategic gameplay, ranks will remain concealed before the commencement of a match. This change aims to foster a more competitive environment. However, for those curious about their standings, ranks will be accessible for viewing after the match concludes.

These upgrades underscore Spider Tanks Arena's commitment to enhancing user experience and promoting balanced gameplay within its gaming environment.
