Head of Operations
Sequence and Transak have announced a strategic partnership aimed at streamlining the development process for web3 games by simplifying player onboarding and payment flows. This collaboration is set to make significant strides in making web3 gaming more accessible to both developers and players.
Sequence and Transak Partnership
Transak, which operates across more than 350 applications, has become the sole on-ramp provider for Sequence Kit. Sequence Kit is one of the world's best wallet connectors, which developers can integrate with a simple NPM package and a few lines of code.
This partnership ensures that developers can now effortlessly integrate a robust payment infrastructure into their web3 games. Moreover, the Sequence Unity SDK has integrated Transak’s on-ramp functionality, allowing any game using Sequence to trigger a pre-configured on-ramp link.
Now players can fund their Sequence Embedded Wallets with fiat currency seamlessly. The Sequence Unreal Engine SDK will also receive this feature in the coming weeks, further enhancing the ease of web3 game development and player experience.
Transak offers a comprehensive toolkit for game and app developers to incorporate cryptocurrency buying and selling mechanisms directly into their applications, websites, or plugins. As a transaction infrastructure provider, Transak addresses several challenges associated with web3 and on-chain payments.
Transak's solutions simplify the onboarding process into the web3 world by enabling users to buy crypto and digital collectibles directly within apps. This integration eliminates the complexities typically associated with web3 wallets, fees, and exchange navigation, making blockchain gaming more approachable for newcomers.
Transak Logo and Slogan
Currently, Transak supports over 170 cryptocurrencies on 75+ networks, with a global reach covering 160+ countries and supporting 70+ fiat currencies. Sami Start, CEO & Co-founder of Transak, stated:
"We are thrilled to partner with Sequence and bring our best-in-class payments infrastructure to the world of web3 gaming. Our shared vision of simplifying blockchain interactions for users aligns perfectly, and we look forward to empowering the next generation of gamers and developers."
Together, Sequence and Transak are set to provide efficient, effective, and frictionless onboarding flows for game developers building user-friendly games and experiences in the web3 space. Sequence offers developers customizable smart wallet solutions, while Transak simplifies the on-ramping process for players.
Sequence Embedded Wallets mimic traditional game experiences by providing a seamless login flow, invisible crypto integration, and zero popups or intrusive modals interrupting gameplay. This ensures that players can focus on the game without worrying about complex crypto interactions or gas fees.
Easy In-Game Payments
Additionally, Sequence’s support for credit and debit cards eliminates the need for cryptocurrency, making web3 gaming accessible to a broader audience. Taylan Pince, CTO at Sequence, stated:
“We’re excited that Sequence and Transak are working together to create a frictionless player experience for streamlining web3 game onboarding. Sequence provides user-friendly wallets through our Unity, Unreal, and web SDKs, while Transak takes care of the compliance framework and infrastructure. This combined offering empowers game studios to build robust and accessible web3 games.”
Transak complements Sequence’s solutions by addressing the complexities of entering and participating in web3. By enabling players to purchase cryptocurrency directly within Sequence-integrated apps, Transak removes the need for separate exchanges and wallet management.
