Sequence, a leading web3 developer platform, has announced a strategic partnership with LAOS Network, a Polkadot parachain specializing in scalable blockchain solutions. This collaboration aims to enhance the accessibility and performance of free-to-play web3 gaming by leveraging advanced technologies from both organizations.
Sequence Partners with LAOS Network
The partnership addresses persistent issues in blockchain gaming, such as high gas fees and network congestion. Sequence’s full-stack web3 technology, including its Embedded Wallet and Marketplace API, integrates seamlessly with LAOS Network’s “bridgeless minting” technology. This integration allows developers to tokenize in-game assets on any Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchain at a fraction of the usual costs, delivering a smoother and more cost-efficient gaming experience.
LAOS Network operates as a Layer-1 blockchain designed to streamline NFT minting across EVM-compatible chains like Ethereum and Polygon. As a Polkadot parachain, LAOS combines strong security with cross-chain interoperability, enabling the minting of millions of digital assets without the constraints of traditional bridging methods.
Developed by Freeverse, LAOS Network supports horizontal scaling through sharding and features decentralized metadata extensions. These capabilities empower developers to integrate web3 mechanics with established revenue models like free-to-play gaming. LAOS has also formed key partnerships with web3 gaming projects such as MetaverseMe, Netherak Demons, and The Mines Run, demonstrating its robust scalability and on-chain capabilities.
Key Gaming Partnerships
With Sequence as the only verified EVM-based web3 wallet solution for popular game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine, this partnership is set to drive innovation in blockchain gaming. Developers using Sequence technology can now leverage LAOS’s infrastructure to create scalable, immersive games that bridge traditional and blockchain gaming mechanics.
The collaboration also introduces the LAOS Grant Program, offering 190 million $LAOS tokens to support visionary developers. The program includes mentorship, development support, and resources to accelerate the launch and scaling of web3 games.
LAOS’s Infrastructure Offerings
Looking ahead, LAOS plans to extend its Bridgeless Minting technology to Bitcoin by the end of 2024, further expanding its reach and capabilities. Additionally, the LAOS utility token will officially launch on November 19, 2024, enhancing market access and driving community participation in the LAOS-powered ecosystem.
The partnership between Sequence and LAOS Network signifies a shared commitment to transforming web3 gaming. By combining Sequence’s developer tools with LAOS’s scalable blockchain solutions, this collaboration sets the stage for a player-centric gaming ecosystem with unparalleled accessibility and performance. As Alun Evans, co-founder of LAOS Network, noted:
“Partnering with Sequence amplifies our vision of enabling developers to seamlessly tokenize in-game assets without cost or scalability limitations.” Santiago Gramajo, Business Development Manager at Sequence, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the opportunities this partnership unlocks for developers and gamers alike. This initiative marks a pivotal moment in web3 gaming, empowering developers to create next-generation games that redefine player engagement and accessibility.
