The winners of our GAM3 Awards 2024 have been revealed, with Ronin Network claiming the prestigious "Best Ecosystem" award. Hosted in partnership with Yield Guild Games (YGG), the event took place in Manila and was streamed live across major platforms, attracting global attention.

Ronin’s “Best Ecosystem” win comes after a year of significant growth. The network’s surge in daily active users (DAUs), expanded NFT collections, and new partnerships have contributed to its success in the ever-evolving web3 gaming space. Our 2024 GAM3 Awards showcased a variety of talent across multiple categories. Off The Grid by Gunzilla Games claimed the coveted "Game of the Year" award, while Parallel took home three awards, and Pirate Nation added two to its collection. The awards ceremony also offered a glimpse into the future of web3 gaming, with exclusive game trailers and premieres, including Golden Tides, Unfettered, and Elumia.

Ronin’s achievements were complemented by its recent technological and community-driven developments. The network has been actively enhancing its platform through technical upgrades and the introduction of new features like the Ronin Wallet, which now offers multi-chain support and a more intuitive user interface. One of the most coveted awards "People's Choice" was won by Ronin's most popular game, Pixels.

One of the most significant milestones was the listing of Ronin’s native token, RON, on major exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase. This listing enabled millions of new users to access the platform and participate in the ecosystem, further strengthening Ronin’s global presence.

The network’s user base has grown exponentially, with daily active users (DAUs) rising from 200,000 to over 1.5 million by mid-2024, a 6.8x increase in just six months. The success of games like Pixels has been a driving force behind this growth. By mid-year, Pixels reached an impressive 1.7 million monthly active users (MAUs) and saw millions of $PIXEL tokens spent by its community. Similarly, games like Apeiron and Ragnarok have also experienced significant success within the Ronin ecosystem.

Technological Advancements

To maintain its rapid growth, Ronin has focused on technological enhancements. The integration of zkEVM technology using Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK) is a key development, which aims to increase transaction capacity while reducing costs. This move is expected to further decentralize the network and enable Ronin to scale to millions of transactions per day.

The Ronin Bridge, an important feature for token transfers between Ronin and Ethereum, has also seen enhancements, processing over $1.6 billion in volume by mid-2024. Additionally, the launch of the Katana DEX (decentralized exchange) has bolstered Ronin’s position, with the addition of new tokens like $PIXEL and $APRS.
