Realms of Alurya (RoA), a blockchain-based role-playing game developed by Synergy Games, has announced its migration to the Ronin Network. The decision follows a broader restructuring at Treasure DAO, which recently ended support for third-party games and scaled back its operations to focus on core projects. RoA, which had been the only fully launched game on the Treasure mainnet, is now transitioning to a new platform in response to these changes.

About Realms of Alurya

Realms of Alurya is an action-RPG that incorporates elements of traditional gaming with blockchain integration. The game features fast-paced combat, loot-based progression, and a fantasy setting divided into four elemental zones: earth, water, fire, and ice. Players can explore procedurally generated dungeons, collect and craft items, manage private in-game islands, and tame or breed magical pets.

One of the defining features of RoA is its use of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to represent in-game assets, allowing players to own and trade items, characters, and other content. This structure supports a player-driven economy that operates through its native utility token, $ACN. The game's mechanics aim to blend the familiar appeal of action-RPGs with the benefits of decentralized asset ownership and token-based rewards.

Bridgeworld, Smolworld, the Treasure Marketplace

The shift comes after Treasure DAO disclosed it would no longer support external game publishing as part of a strategic effort to preserve resources and extend its operational timeline. The organization cited financial constraints as the key motivator behind the decision. According to publicly shared figures, Treasure was operating with around $2.4 million in stablecoins and $2.3 million in $MAGIC, while maintaining an annual burn rate of $8.3 million. Without significant adjustments, the DAO projected it would run out of funds by the end of the year.

In an announcement on April 2, contributor John Patten outlined the new direction, which includes a narrowed focus on four products: Bridgeworld, Smolworld, the Treasure Marketplace, and artificial intelligence agent tools. As part of this restructuring, the Treasure Chain will be shut down, prompting games like Realms of Alurya, The Beacon, and Calamity to seek alternative platforms. In a community message, the RoA team expressed disappointment with the decision, noting that it diverged from their shared vision and development plans.

The Ronin Blockchain Growing Popularity

In response to the changes at Treasure, RoA evaluated alternative ecosystems and ultimately selected the Ronin Network as its new home. Ronin is a blockchain platform developed by Sky Mavis, the creators of Axie Infinity, and has grown to become one of the most active ecosystems in web3 gaming. RoA’s developers cited Ronin’s infrastructure, user base, and long-term support model as key reasons for the move.

Ronin currently hosts over 17 million wallets, maintains around 1.6 million monthly active players, and has facilitated over $4.3 billion in NFT trading volume. These figures reflect a strong and engaged community, as well as a mature network with proven scalability. RoA stated that Ronin’s values—emphasizing digital ownership, engaging gameplay, and active community participation—are closely aligned with its own goals. Additional technical details surrounding the migration, including smart contract deployment and mainnet launch plans, are expected to be released in the near future.

NFTs, Grommarat and $ACN Token Airdrop

As part of the transition process, RoA has announced a temporary delay to its planned Hunt & Mint event, which was originally scheduled to launch on April 14. The event was designed to offer players a chance to engage in new in-game activities and earn limited-edition NFTs, including the "Hunter’s Seal"—a digital asset intended to provide ongoing gameplay benefits and future token rewards.

Players participating in the event would have faced off against a game boss character named Grommart, with successful completion offering different tiers of rewards. These included permanent access to future events, eligibility for an upcoming $ACN token airdrop, and exclusive NFT dungeon bosses with utility in gameplay and staking. While the delay was not originally planned, the development team stated that the event will return after the migration is complete and will come back with enhancements based on community feedback and technical improvements.

TGE, $ACN Tokenomics, and Other Rewards

The $ACN token plays a central role in the Realms of Alurya ecosystem. It can be used for crafting, gear upgrades, and marketplace transactions within the game. The token is also tied to event rewards and player achievements. The upcoming $ACN airdrop, initially planned for the second quarter of 2025, is expected to continue as scheduled, although the final timeline may shift depending on how quickly the game’s migration to Ronin is finalized.

The Hunt & Mint event was intended to be one of the first opportunities for players to earn $ACN directly. Participation levels and in-game performance during the event were expected to influence eligibility and reward levels in the airdrop. While the delay has introduced some uncertainty, the development team has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering value through both the token and future in-game experiences.

Final Thoughts

With the migration to the Ronin Network underway, the Realms of Alurya team is preparing a detailed rollout plan. This will include information on how players can move their assets, connect to the new network, and participate in upcoming features and events. The transition is expected to unlock new opportunities for growth by leveraging Ronin’s existing infrastructure and player base.

As the web3 gaming landscape continues to evolve, RoA’s move to Ronin reflects a broader trend of studios seeking stable and scalable platforms. With the departure from Treasure now confirmed, the game’s development is entering a new phase—one that aims to build on its current momentum and deliver a long-term experience for its community.
